Containers of Hurricane Donations Found Rotting in Puerto Rico Parking Lot

Considering they regularly had no electricity for years before...
Why Puerto Rico’s Electric Grid Stood No Chance Against Maria
Making matters worse, the lack of cash for maintenance has made maintenance more costly than it would otherwise be. Before Hurricane Maria, most of what was getting done was reactive maintenance — fixing immediate outages — not preventative maintenance or upgrades, Morales said. That means AEE’s equipment — from its power plants on down — is old and out-of-date. The median age of an AEE power plant is 44 years, compared with an electric industry standard of 18. “They suffer mechanical failures constantly,” Morales said. “They have to wait a long time to get parts, and the original manufacturers consider them like a speciality part.” Even workers with the expertise to manage these aging units are in short supply and retiring quickly.

But, hey, it's all Trump's fault, right? Certainly the incompetent, corrupt government of Puerto Rico had nothing to do with it.

He said some of the materials arrived after the National Guard ended its mission in May. He could not explain why no other agency distributed the materials after that.

But the head of the elections commission said that he has been calling the governor’s office and the National Guard regularly inquiring about plans to distribute the material, to no avail.

Considering they had no electricity for months.

It's not really a surprise.

Try to figure out why.

Think "keeping food cold" and "electricity". The answer is the connection between the two.
There was a previous thread about the country needing 4.5 trillion to completely overhaul the infrastructure.

Oddly enough, if you add The Bush Tax cuts for millionaires and the Trump tax cuts for billionaires, you get very close to 4.5 trillion.

Now we know why we have no money for infrastructure. 9 Yachts aren't enough for a single Republican billionaire. Ask Betsy Devos.

It's always Trump's fault even when it's not Trumps fauilt. =)
It's rare when it's not Trump's fault. If he disagreed, he wouldn't lie so much.

Fake News Trump claimed only 16 died when 3,000 actually died. Dead people everywhere & Trump could not see them when he was there tripping over them. Liar in Chief passes the buck!

Oh, for fuck’s sake. There were thousands of such containers delivered. The problem at the time was delivering them to where they were needed...
Right, because they didn't have the personnel to do this themselves.

When disaster destroys local governments ability to provide emergency services, water, sewer, electric, communications, security or deliver supplies, to keep US citizens alive, it's up to the Federal Government to step in & save the people. Republicans & Trump failed worse than their previous FAILURE in New Orleans. 3,000 US Citizens DIED while Trump played Politics tossing paper towels for photo op!!!
Christ you are a sad sad little man.

Well they said roads were washed away to disperse much of the aid and they said there was a shortage of drivers to deliver the aid to where roads were still accessible. Who are you to argue with them? They were there … you weren't.
