Conservative Ignorati: GOP use Informal Fallacy, Ignoratio elenchi, to block Hagel

What has the Hagel nomination to do with Republican Senators constantly coming up with unanswered question on what transpired on September 11, 2011 at the US Consulate in Libya?

We need this vote today. We need it now. Up or down vote. The whole world is watching. Holding up having a Secretary of Defense in the kind of world we live in today, for purely partisan, political, ideological reasons is a terrible example of Ideological Partisanship over National Good.

Their arguments do not address the question before them which will be answered by a vote: Ignoratio elenchi, also known as irrelevant conclusion, is the informal fallacy of presenting an argument that may or may not be logically valid, but fails nonetheless to address the issue in question.

We need to confirm a stumbling, bumbling A-hole who can't even answer questions because...."the whole world is watching"? That's exactly the reason we need to put Hagel on the bus to Nebraska.

playing politics with our nations security.

republicans are the party over country party

"Conservative ignorati" = glaring redundancy.

Hagel would simply be sending unaborted babies to their wartime deaths.

You see, you have that backwards. Hagel has made it very clear that war is a last resort....not something to be resorted to by defense contractors and their political minions when the coffers are low.

Blood and treasure are precious to a real Vietnam Vet.

Oh, and thanks for being a conservative ignorati exemplar.

Yet the GOP is claiming they do not and are not wanting to filibuster. They say they are holding the defense of America hostage to partisan ideological stubbornness over supposed unanswered questions on Libya .

The GOP is starting to sound like the truthers on this thing...answer a question and they demand you answer ten more unanswered questions.
