Congress' Job Approval at New Low of 10%
Yeah, not sure either party has any reason to crow. But they'll keep pointing the finger at the other, which is a primary reason their ratings are so fucking low to begin with. Ironic, ay?
They really suck. I don't know how we as Americans continue to let them get away with this bullshit. What about ethics and integrity? Doesn't anyone care about this anymore?
Strict term limits.
These people are not royalty. They're not special. They can be replaced.
Tea Party??? WTF???
Sallow, you are becoming less and less credible everytime you post my friend.
I am perfectly willing to admit that the GOP has done as much to hurt Congress' reputation as the next guy, but what in the Hell makes you think that 2010 is to blame for their sorry rep. ? It has been in the toilet for years.
Another stupid thread by swallow. They do rank them by Dem/Rep and they both do equally as bad.
Not going to easy for any of them to win reelection in the 2014 midterms. They can't point to any real achievements or even any run of the mill federal spending in their districts as a reason they deserve to go back for another term of sitting there like bumps on a log. Two years of mostly symbolic votes on political bills that have no chance of passing is the worst kind of masturbation.
It is difficult to pinpoint any specific recent actions that may have led to the continuing deterioration in Congress' image, particularly because much of the political attention in January and early February has focused on the Republican presidential race.
But the fact that Senate democrats and the WH are willing to enter into good faith negotiations and House republicans are not and Senate republicans goal is only to get rid of Obama its clear the TPM and republicans in general are responsible for nothing getting done.
The American people want Congress to address the Nations issues, not engage in pointless partisan politics as republican have since 2009.
Separate names with a comma.
