Business Insider just came out with their list of 50 of the world's most violent cities in 2017. Number 1 was Los Cabos, Mexico, having 111.33 homicides per 100,000 residents. Number 50 was Cucuta, Colombia, having 34.78 homicides per 100,000 residents. Of the US cities:
13.) St. Louis had 65.83 homicides per 100,000 residents.
21.) Baltimore had 55.48 homicides per 100,000 residents.
41.) New Orleans had 40.10 homicides per 100,000 residents.
42.) Detroit had 39.69 homicides per 100,000 residents.
Even though Chicago has a high murder rate, it wasn't in the list.

The majority of the most violent cities on the list, were right below our Southern border, BTW.
