Republican Sen. Susan Collins will support Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for the Supreme Court, delivering President Joe Biden a bipartisan vote for his first high court nominee.

The Maine senator is the first — and could be the only — Republican to back Jackson’s confirmation. She was widely viewed as the most likely GOP vote for Jackson, the first Black woman nominated to the high court, and Biden had lobbied Collins for her support, calling the senator to discuss the Supreme Court vacancy at least three times.

She voted against Amy Barrett.

One of the great things about Trump is he has been vocal about the problem of having RINOs in the party.

---Trump Calls Out “RINOs, Sellouts, and Known Losers” in the GOP---

The GOP should shun RINOs, even if it results in electing Democrats. "Bipartisan" is a deliberately misleading term used by the Left to imply popular support for their unpopular legislation. Let's stop playing this game and start calling out these closet liberals for what they are.

How do you think Biden was elected, by Trump pushing Repubs to vote for him.

They bought her vote.

That's how it works.

None of the assholes in the Senate are beholden to principles. It's all about the money and influence.

The bitch won't have to run again till 2026 (re-elected in 2020).

Damn, I thought the dried-up bitch was like in her mid-80s or something but she's only 69.

Your objections to her appointment is not based on her qualifications. It is based on your belief that every republican should vote against it because she's a democrat.

I'll give you another tip. How many believers are in the total congress?
Approx half don't believe in God at all. That is based on the fact half the population are the same. It would be ridiculous to think it was full of Jesus junkies, regardless of what they tell you.
Makes you think you have probably voted for an atheist republican at some time.

This. And that highlights the rotten underbelly of federal political offices. It has become so expensive to campaign for these offices that the people who win tend to be so deeply indebted to the special interests who fund their campaigns, that they will sell out their own family to keep the campaign cash flowing in. Until there are term limits and major changes to campaign finance laws (including enforcement of the damn laws) this problem will only get worse and worse.

Which is why we need to go back to Senators chosen by state legislatures and not votes.

Yeah, but the establishment and MSM would scream at the top of their lungs about an "attack on democracy" if such an idea was even seriously proposed. The other problem is, like with term limits, you'd have to get the people who are benefiting from the problem to vote for the changes.

with the Democrats and Republican extremists as nutty as they are, i'm glad there are moderates like Collins and Manchin...they should form the Moderate Caucus
