The fact that Donny is right (he along with many others ARE right) with respect to the problems that have been pointed out with the way China has been conducting trade ISN'T the issue.

The issue is the way he and his administration have been going about trying to address these structural imbalances, their strategy has been flawed from the get go, specifically demanding changes to the internal Chinese Regulatory Regime and Legal Code, that is NEVER going to happen. The Chinese aren't going to allow a foreign nation to dictate their internal politics anymore than the U.S. would.

Trump and his merry band of fuck ups had their chance to get much of what they wanted to accomplish done back in early 2018, they blew it and are now just economically punishing EVERYBODY with these idiotic tariffs, especially American Consumers and American Businesses. It's time for them to take what they can get and put an end to this nonsense before it does significant, lasting damage to the economy and our relationship with China.
