Why didn't the cooling (not leveling off, cooling) that took place between 1941 and 1979 mark the end of AGW?

Those "best guesses" - that atmospheric warming has slowed because of volcanic aerosols, a decline in solar output and a significant build-up of heat in the deep ocean - they're all supported by peer reviewed studies with large amounts of data. Yet you and your friends here reject them. Do you have some studies that indicate volcanic aerosols have not been present in the atmosphere? Do you have some evidence that total solar irradiance is not down? Has someone found that the temperature of the deep ocean is not climbing rapidly?

And, I'm new here and I suspect we will be on opposite sides on many a topic, but I have to say I appreciate your choice of avatar.

Seems like the only thing some of our "warmers" have predicted correctly is that we SHOULD be going into another Ice Age.. That's a plausible theory given Earth's "recent" history and timing of climate changes..

Wouldn't it be sad if we acted on this hooey and then discovered 200 yrs thereafter, that the only thing that was keeping the earth from triggering an Ice Age --- was our release of CO2?

What if we HAD to decide between NYCity under a 1000 yards of glacier or burning more fossil fuel?

Solar Irradiance is still within 10% of its 200 year PEAK... If that 1.2W/m2 RISE in solar output since 1700 had no appreciable effect on the climate (according to the lying IPCC) --- than how the HELL can a few percent DECLINE of that number have an effect that stops your mighty AGW in it's tracks for over a decade??

There's no consistency or logic in that argument..

The pause in warming matches the pause in solar irradiation that plateaued about 30 yrs ago.. Something the size of the Earth takes awhile to assume a new temperature equilibrium. Even mere Climate scientists are beginning to understand that temperature probably DOESN'T change immediately with any power forcing function.

If it starts to cool -- It's simple man -- We will know..
Of course, GoldiRocks and TinkerBelle and maybe you will be taking thermal assessments of subterranean caverns to show the warming in HIDING --- but the atmosphere and surface trend will be obvious..
