Rice, the State Dept and the White House were going on the best available 'intel' at the time. And any logical and intelligent person would highly suspect that the protests they were seeing in Cairo OVER THE FILM, that preceded the Benghazi attacks and the protests OVER THE FILM that occurred in over 20 countries were related and fueled by the same cause.

BUT, right wing turds who HATE America because they democratically elected a Democratic President and want to destroy that same President with no regard for this country, it's people or the truth, would rather attack the President.

I don't have to prove it. There is already ample proof that the attack was planned long before the movie came out.

The attack that killed four Americans in the Libyan consulate began as a spontaneous protest against the film “The Innocence of Muslims,” but Islamic militants who may have links to Al Qaeda used the opportunity to launch an attack, CIA Director David Petreaus told the House Intelligence Committee today according to one lawmaker who attended a closed-door briefing.
Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, the top Democrat on the House Intel committee, said Petraeus laid out “a chronological order exactly what we felt happened, how it happened, and where we’re going in the future.”
“In the Benghazi area, in the beginning we feel that it was spontaneous – the protest- because it went on for two or three hours, which is very relevant because if it was something that was planned, then they could have come and attacked right away,” Ruppersberger, D-Md., said following the hour-long briefing by Petraeus. “At this point it looks as if there was a spontaneous situation that occurred and that as a result of that, the extreme groups that were probably connected to al Qaeda took advantage of that situation and then the attack started.”

Here's a hint about how it works in the REAL WORLD, Sparky! When you've got "REAL" supporting documents, you send your officials out there in front of the press with those documents and you make your case, waving those documents like crazy...when your ass is in a crack and you're trying to do damage control you do things like use statements by "unnamed government officials" which allows you to lie your ass off and then deny you ever did so.

The Obama Administration is in full fledged damage control mode right now...trying desperately to keep this fire from getting any hotter before the election. They are using the "unnamed sources" scam to try and buy themselves just a little more time. Meanwhile they are stonewalling the investigation into the attack even as they earnestly declare that what is needed is a full and detailed investigation...which of course couldn't possibly be done until after November.
