Schumer didn't direct DHS to start separating kids from parents -- Trump did -- he thought it would get him leverage for his wall, he was wrong...deal with it

Actually, no Trump did not. The US Immigration laws and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals directed them to separate these kids from their abusive parents.

Seems that if we only enforced our existing laws none of this would have become a problem

Exactly - it is never about the children, always about politics as evidenced by the shrillness of the crowing.. But I think the celebration a bit premature. The Schume is now on record refusing to do his job and address the problem of illegal immigration in a lasting way. It was a political calculation on chuckie's part, gambling on regaining control of the government - a gamble he may well lose.

Thirteen thousand unaccompanied minors came into the US so far this fiscal year - 13,000 children separated from their families as a direct result of loopholes in US immigration law. Thirteen thousand cases of child abuse (just this year) defined by Schumer as separation of families...sitting squarely on his shoulders.
