1. Barack Obama served on the board of directors of Woods Fund of Chicago from 1993 to 2001. During that time, the tax exempt foundation made some interesting grants, including one to Obama's church, Trinity United Church of Christ, headed by Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the time. Howard Pew in 1957, to educate Americans on the values of the free market and the paralyzing effects of government controls on the lives and activities of the people. Then, in the 1980s, progressive Dr. Thomas Langfitt became president, and channeled the foundations wealth toward Left-wing causes.

b. Pew is now the largest funder of the Left-wing Tides Center, directing funds to hundreds of radical groups and concealing the sources of the funds.
4. The fortune of John D. Rockefeller, Sr., fell into the hands of heirs who used it to fund left-wing causes, as well. The current chairman is Nelsons son, Steven Rockefeller, emeritus professor of religion at Middlebury College, and a lifelong socialist and environmentalist. 5. No shift to the Left was as significant as that of the Ford Foundation. Formed in 1936, by Edsel Ford, Henrys only son, it placed 95% of company stock under the charge of the foundation. That made it the worlds largest charitable foundation until the formation of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2006. When Henry died in 1947, Edsel having passed away in 1943, the foundation drifted away from its conservative moorings. Under Liberal Republican McGeorge Bundy, Ford became a leading sponsor of progressive causes. In 1967, Bundy aligned Ford with the black power movement.
