Yes. It is said we should seek and find God, an endeavor I took up as a child. Next it was about following Biblical teachings and observing how they applied and worked in my own life. Finally has been the research and study of Biblical languages, histories, and cultures. God and scripture have been the authority I followed in my own life.

It is why I was able to question your meme, "Love me or burn." I thought we might have a discussion of your experiences/conclusions and my own. It never occurred to me you would see that as me "speaking for God." Yes, God did have me speak for Him once over a very minor matter, but never over another's experiences or beliefs.

An example of a logical fallacy: A dog attacked someone and did bodily harm without provocation, thus by your logic.........all dogs of that breed must be put down because someone trained that dog as an attack dog......... its illogical and unreasonable.

Christians are Human.....as such, just like all men/women we have "flaws" based upon our humanity. If men were perfect........our Lord Jesus Christ died in vain. You are pointing out "...there is no new thing under the sun". That thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done...... -- Eccl. 1:9

"If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us...." -- 1 John 1:8

The Jews attempted to find salvation by living by the "letter of the law......" Due to man's humanity and flaws in not being capable of obeying the law, God presented a new covenant, unlike the one delivered to Moses, the law, nor the Kingdom of God is written on stone/physical.....but rather......."...I (God) will put My law in their inward parts, and in their hearts I will write it...." -- Jer. 31:31-34

The Kingdom of God comes without observation, its invisible to the world because the Kingdom of God resides within those of the faith........its a Spiritual Kingdom not of this world (Luke 17:21, John 18:36-37)

A true Christian never takes credit for doing the right thing.........he/she never lets the right hand know what the left hand is doing (in other words.......a Christian does not partake of good works to find accolade...... the Christian works in privacy doing that which is righteous, not in the eyes of man but in the eyes of God. (Matthew 6:3-4)

I had a good teacher--my Bible's scriptures telling us of the Word of God tells us what God expects of us, at least in the 66 books of the Holy Bible according to the Apostles, namely Peter and Paul who did almost all the writing before being cruelly killed by the Romans who detested Christians except to entertain themselves by watching lions kill them and making a lunch out of their bloody kills.
