But that's the way it is, right? What a great example of the microcosm reflecting the macrocosm of our society. It's like the mandelbrot set of social debate.

Yep ... what's even more fascinating though is that often the most anger filled bickering tends to be between people who are actually on the same side of the primary topic.

Yep ... what's even more fascinating though is that often the most anger filled bickering tends to be between people who are actually on the same side of the primary topic.

That's because people who think for themselves- and prefer to use reason to reach their conclusions, often arrive at similar conclusions. However, that preference for thinking for one's self also tends to facilitate an independent nature that can often be contentious in groups. Independent thinkers don't mind "rocking the boat".
