He was impeached but not convicted. He served out the rest of his second term and was not forced to resign in disgrace. Both houses of Congress were prepared for impeachment in 1974. Nixon was informed that articles of impeachment were being drafted in the HOR and there were enough votes in the Senate to convict and remove him from office. That did not happen with Bill Clinton - the impeachment died in the Senate.

The only reason this moved to the name of Nixon was because someone was stupid enough to say that the DEMS may as well go ahead and run a Castro (making an obvious reference to Communist Fidel Castro - to whom Julian Castro is in now way related).

So Nixon, who was not impeached, is worse than Clinton, who was actually impeached? You havent thought this through very well, have you? The only reason Clinton didnt resign was that he and the Democrats decided that "winning" took precedence over doing the honorable thing.

One Castro is pretty much like another to the Democrats.

You partisans have been attacking each other rather than uniting and keeping an eye on and fighting the real enemy. Thanks. Now the administrative branch of the government is out of control. It doesn't matter WHO runs it. If the liberals run it, domestically we are screwed. They will over reach and our private rights, jobs and businesses will crumble and the economy will turn to shit. If the conservatives run it, they will bully and trample over every weak brown skinned nation or Soviet Republic in the name of "freedom." The federal government is now too far gone and out of balance. Nobody cares anymore.
