NY fans are not so hot for Donnie Baseball anymore, he was a big when NY was losing in the 80s.

He wasn't part of the late 90s championships and didn't start coaching until a few years ago.

He wanted the manager's job in NY, but NY wanted a guy with some experienece so they picked Giradi (who was manager of teh year with teh Marlins teh year before).

Even with his over managing, NY made the right choice, as teh Angels series proved, Giradi isn't the only guy that overdoes pitching changes, but at least Joe is smart enough to keep his lineup intact, tore would have sat guys and wore out the pen while turing teh starters into 5 inning guys.
