Capitalism trashes usable goods openly and daily, DISCUSS

Capitalism does this because markets operate using price mechanisms, which in turn rely on what is profitable rather than what is needed.

Products are only profitable if they are needed. Capitalism is the most efficient system of production ever devised. It's certainly far more efficient than socialism where waste is rampant.

I'm getting pretty tired of reading all the ignorant bullshit you post to the forum. I also notice that you never respond to anything I post. I suppose that means you're a coward who has me on ignore. From now on I'll be letting your idiocies have it with both barrels.

I read your first sentence, "Products are only profitable if they are needed" and laughed at your lack of intelligence on the point, AND THE REASON.

Are you stating that no one would purchase brand new cars for a smaller price? Are you stating no one would purchase food at a smaller price? Are you stating trashing perfectly GOOD goods is acceptable? You seem to be lost and over your head.

Who trashes perfectly GOOD goods? The only instances I've ever heard of doing that were on the orders of the FDR administration. Those numskulls believed the same theories that you've fallen for.

People wouldn't buy things if they didn't want them. What you're trying to tell us is the corporations make a profit on stuff that no one wants.

Idiotic.

Perhaps you could read the OP. Perhaps you could research it. Perhaps you could do work. We all know that won't happen.

I read the OP. I have never seen any evidence of what you claim. You obviously can't respond to anything I post. Why do you even bother participating in this forum?

Without providing bias links I gave you topics to research. It was obvious you didn't want to. It's the reason most Right Wingers were smart enough to back off of this topic early. Watching the small brain try to catch up is fun to watch though.

I don't do homework assignments, moron. The fact that you are trying to assign them means you know you are full of shit.

Didn't the collapse of the USSR teach the left anything? To paraphrase Orwell's "Animal Farm" "all socialists are equal but some are more equal than others". In other words a socialist society is a miserable existence where there is no possibility of becoming wealthy. The citizens labor for not much more than subsistence while the socialist elite enjoy the power over life and death. Is that what you want or do the arrogant lefties think they can do it better?

There must be fifteen types of socialism, Marx's scientific socialism is only one, the USSR tried it and dropped it after a couple of years. Many conservatives today use that scientific socialism, dropped by the USSR, as evidence that socialism leads to communism. I wonder if the Chinese now blame socialism for leading them into capitalism?

Everyone has seen links to closing grocery stores trashing food in the face of people who need food. We have all seen links to Corporations that spend time to cut clothing before putting it in the trash. Some of us have even seen the unsold NEW CAR GRAVEYARDS.

We have an abundance of goods of all kinds for everyone.

I question why we trash excess.

It's well known they can only keep costs and profits high if the supply is low.

Actually I don't know what you are referring to. Do you have some actual data?

Just look at America and ask yourself, do our votes really matter when the Rich Idiots are running the Country? The people have no say in either case and poverty follows and Welfare follows that.

This is a lie. You think the rich control government, yet you advocate MORE government. Ironically while you lie you're right. You just need to grasp the truth of what you are saying and the logical consequence that therefore we want LESS government

Americans may want less government but want more government services.

A sweeping and empty statement

Only the parasites sucking on the government tit want more "services." Crooks also want more of your valuables. What's astonishing about that?

^You stated nothing about the OP at all...

thats true dear, but I stated something about the pure ignorance of your statement below.

"It's well known they can only keep costs and profits high if the supply is low"
do you now agree that it was perfectly stupid??

I question why we trash excess.

dear, I just saw a story about how American plastic trash in bails (millk containers, plastic bags, etc) for export to Asia is stocking up on docks in CA because of the union strike. The fact is we sell and recycle anything we can make even one penny on. Do you get it? If it has value we sell it to make money. A child could understand this, just not a liberal.

Debates like this are like mowing the lawn. A repetitive chore! Trashing perishables is one thing, especially considering the possible liabilities, but thrashing other goods? Oh, I suppose you can find instances of companies thrashing inventory that isn't selling, but that's an example of stupidity not a failure of capitalism. Donating the product and taking the tax deduction, or selling ti at a loss, is what a sensible company would do.

You want utopia? Forget it, it's an imperfect world. Even if we had a truly free market, every problem that exists now would exist then, it would just be ay the lowest levels possible.

I can certainly remember the options for coffee as a kid. Folgers, Maxwell House and various other can brands that were/are essentially swill compared with the brands available today. Same goes for the produce section, and just about everything else. Capitalism made this possible! I'll stick with a market economy thank you very much! Give me the system that produce goods in abundance and improves the quality of life of everyone who participates in it!

Are there poor people? Yep! But we also happen to have the richest poor people in the world and it's no magic trick.

Are there poor people? Yep!

sure and today there are millions more than ever in history thanks to economic development that allows everyone to sexually reproduce and thanks to liberal, anti-science, ever growing welfare programs the reverse evolution causing the least fit to multiply more than the most fit.
