Of course its not the governments role to protect our rights that responsibility belongs to each American and the courts are the venue in which we challenge a given violation.
The purpose of the Bill of Rights is to protect us from......the government. We have the Supremes to allegedly make a judgement about the constitutionality of various statutes but strangely enough liberals are against strict Constitutional review. They would rather see a more flexible constitution where the Bill of Rights becomes meaningless.
You think liberals are against strict Constitutional review? Why?
