Canada, like the USA, has a wide range of people with political thoughts.
There are, of course, the metropolitan areas where people - like here - tend to have liberal views. This biggest divide, of course, is between the English and French-speaking areas. People outside the cities, tend to be conservative as they go about producing to support the rest of the nation.
Vancouver seems to favor Washington State silliness.

The only thing I know first-hand about Canada [other than my sister-in-law who married a Canadian] are the tourists that come here to Vegas. As a cabbie, I found them to be the most miserly and tight-fisted people on earth! Nice but tight.

Whatever, the war was a draw. The reasons for the war disappeared, so they decided to quit fighting.
