If you're talking about Obama, he's not from Kenya. Kenya didn't exist when he was born. Obama was born August 1961. Kenya didn't exist until 1963. He can't be from a nation that didn't exist when he was born.

Obama didn't double the national debt.

The bush boy left his wars and drug program off the national general budget. He used emergency bills to fund it all so it didn't show up on the books.

When Obama became president all that off the books spending was added to our general budget. Over night the budget skyrocketed up to 13 trillion dollars.

Obama took that 13 trillion up to 19 trillion.

The people who doubled our debt was reagan, he took 800 and something billion dollar national debt up to nearly 3 trillion dollars. The first bush took it up to 5 trillion dollars. Clinton took it up to 5.5 trillion dollars. The bush boy took it up to 13 trillion dollars. Obama took it up to 19 trillion dollars.

The only presidents who doubled, in fact more than doubled, our national debt were reagan, the first bush and the bush boy.

The bush boy took our national debt from 5.5 trillion up to 13 trillion dollars. More than doubling it and setting a new record of debt created by one president. He added 7.5 trillion dollars to our national debt in 8 years.

Obama didn't double the national debt. He added around 6 trillion to it. Obama didn't add more to our national debt than any other president. That would be the bush boy. But take heart, trump and the republicans are on their way to out spend even the bush boy and set new record highs in both our national debt and our budget deficit.

Less, if you consider TARP loans made under Bush and repaid, at a profit, under Obama.

I didn't like Obama's fiscal moves to just give gummit contracts to give contracts. But bipartisan unemployment insurance extensions and allowing states to keep federal dollars without making the usual state dollar matches during recessions never bothered me. Under BushI either. Or Ford. LOL. That may have been about the inflation Nixon ushered in though.

Not that Obama was a success. He wasn't because he couldn't get a spending cut through congress after we reached positive growth again. But now Trump is primaring out any former Republican who complains of spending while they're cutting taxes.

Obama reduced the deficit $1 Trillion dollars .... sorry.

But again this isn't one party or the other. We had the worst recession since 1930. He was unable to get a budget deal through the House after the recession. Of course the Freedom Caucus drove Boehner from his own party.

Both parties are playing us, and G5000 is right it's about us more than party. We're all at fault. It's a weird thing that the debt only becomes an issue when a pol makes it one. Trump cries tears and passed stones in public over Obama's debt, when of course he's worse than Obama. At least when BushI, Clinton and Obama said "debt" they actually were proposing to do something. I have no fucking idea what McConnell is about. He's cratering our kids' futures for a couple of judges who'll be dead by then. He thinks the tax cut was great, but with the increased spending it's worse than crack.

Some in the gop are betting that when we have to choose defense or soc sec, we'll opt for defense. They are delusional.

Some in the dems equate the rapture with the day we have to mothball the navy.

Trump's core beliefs seem to me we are somehow fucked through trade, not just unfair dumping but all trade, and we're being mongrelized. But he doesn't give a fuck about debt ... never has, and he's 73

Dissolve the US Congress, and start over. That's the only way the massive Debt will ever be addressed. Our Congress is corrupt. It's made up of mostly very wealthy Elites who will never feel the negative effects of the Debt.

We'd have to dissolve the US Congress and start over. It would take a Revolution. But are Americans willing to sacrifice for a Revolution? I seriously doubt it. So folks should just stop bitchin & moanin about the Debt. It's here to stay. Deal with it.
