California in the red by $127.2 billion, state auditors say

Wealth distribution always ends up the same way, a tangled mess of unsustainable debt fueled by government and bureaucratic waste.

The report says that the state’s negative status increased that year, largely because it spent $1.7 billion more than it received in revenues and wound up with an accumulated deficit of just under $23 billion in fiscal year 2011-2012, the Sacramento Bee stated.

Gov. Jerry Brown has referred to the deficit and other budget gaps, mostly money owed to schools, as a “wall of debt” totaling more than $30 billion, the Sacramento Bee reported.

California in the red by $127.2 billion, state auditors say

The proposed solution will, of course, be predictable. Raise more taxes!:laugh::laugh:

It's gonna get a lot worse when Congress starts pulling federal funding.

Is that mean we can also stop paying federal taxes?

NOPE

If middle class workers were making a livable wage there wouldn't be a deficit.

What's the income range that makes up "middle class"?

Any worker that doesn't qualify for itemized deductions on their federal form.

What's the income range?

He asked you for an income range. Can't you answer the question?

I did.

It's rapidly going the way of other miserable Communist/Socialist failures like Venezuela. How long before it starts demanding a Bailout? Personally, i won't support giving it a penny of Federal money. Its 'Sanctuary' policies are despicable. California shouldn't receive Federal funds at all. Period, end of story.

California beats Canada for GDP and population. They must be doing something right.

It'll be demanding a Bailout at some point. It's a sad catastrophe. And i will not support bailing it out with Federal money.

The majority of red States have received federal bailouts for decades. Why don't you include them in your diatribe?

Any State declaring itself a 'Sanctuary State', should no longer receive Federal money at all.

Why?

they send $370 billion a year to the Federal IRS in tax revenues....too bad they can't keep a third of it, to take car of their other debt....:D

their yearly GDP is $2.44 TRILLION....their debt is only 5% of their yearly GDP, which seems downright excellent, compared to our Federal govt's debt to GDP ratio!!!!! yes.....I know the fed can just print more money..... :(

Just wondering why these California haters are ignoring the real facts about California.

Why? We paid our federal tax? Is that mean we can also stop paying federal taxes?

I'd be ok with that.

How are you going to fund the majority of red States that receive more than paid?
