I get that they want better sportsmanship. I think the excessive celebration rules are bullshit for college kids. Especially in a bowl game.

But taking away a touchdown because he held the ball out in front of him? Pure bullshit.

It was a pick-6 in a bowl game. It was called back and WSU got the ball on the 22 yardline.

WSU DB has pick-6 called back for taunting in Alamo Bowl

I agree, it is bullshit. At minimum, enforcement of excessive celebration/taunting rules should never take points off the board.

Also, IMO, holding out the football like that player did does not deserve a penalty.
