Budweiser is still my favorite beer. I think it may be because it's partly rice beer. It just seems more thirst quenching than most other American lagers.

Actually I have a cold six pack of Budweiser in the fridge right now. And I've got some bacon baking in the oven to make some BLTs for lunch.

Considering all 3 top ones now are light beers, it's not surprising. People want to stretch out their buzz and not feel as full apparently.

As for my preference of the 5 (not my favorite 5 beers)

1. Bud
2. Coors light (great beer to drink when I don't want to drink beer)
3. Corona
4. Miller Lite (MGD and High Life are better)
5. Bud Light

There is no "legal" description for beer. But historically speaking, American adjunct lager is fake beer
Bud, Miller and Coors and all the rest took lager recipes and added a LOT more water to make it cheaper to make, and then added corn and rice to beef up the alcohol without adversely effecting the taste, because corn and rice are cheaper than barley grain.
It's corporate, watered near beer.
