MPs vote to recognise Palestinian state adding to pressure on Israel World news The Guardian

MPs including the Labour leader, Ed Miliband, have voted to recognise Palestine as a state in a symbolic move that will unnerve Israel by suggesting that it is losing a wider battle for public opinion in Britain.

The vote of 274 to 12, a majority of 262, on a backbench motion has no practical impact on British government policy and ministers were instructed not to vote. Labour decided to impose a one-line whip, and the Liberal Democrats, like the Conservatives, gave their backbenchers a free vote.

In possibly the single most important contribution in an emotional debate, Richard Ottaway, ]
the Conservative chairman of the foreign affairs select committee, said the recent annexation of West Bank land by the Israeli government had angered him like nothing else in politics.

The Conservative MP said he had been a supporter of the state of Israel before he became a Tory and had close family connections with the generation that formed the Israeli state. He explained: “The Holocaust had a deep impact on me growing up in the wake of the second world war,” adding that he had been a strong supporter of Israel in the six day war and subsequent conflicts.[/QUOTE

Even Israel's supporters in the UK are starting to see the bastard Zionists are just using them, so support is draining away.

One more nail in Israel's coffin.

Good.

Labour are very likely to form the next government in the UK and this demonstrates that the vote is highly likely to be more than symbolic next time. It also demonstrates the thinking of the mass of people in Britain despite the massive pro-Israeli stance of most of the printed media, broadcast media and The BBC.

It also shows up those who pander to monied and US pressures, and so boycotted the debate that they knew they would lose.

Now, I thought I would never vote Labour.
I have just had to think again. :)

Will they recognise Scotland?

They did, but Israel didn't bother to comment on that.
The Zionists seems to be a little put out by this one, but claim it doesn't really matter.
If it doesn't matter, why are they so pissed off about it?

Take a look at the daily mail - that right wing, anti Muslim rag id printing anto Israeli stories more and more often, even taking the Palestinian side in some cases.
If they're being forced to change position, Israel needs to worry.

The DM is popularist and despite its right wing soul, it cannot help but reflect its readership. And its rightwing readership is not rightwing enough to swallow the fatuous Israel line.

I think you have to be American to be that easily deceived.

Nice gesture, but misguided. Milliband and Labour will now be on the receiving end of political payback from the Zionist right in this country, business, media, etc. It'll be a nasty campaign in 2015, especially with the UKIP fascists in the running.

Will this be known forever after as The Charge of the Fright Brigade? England's spine turned to jelly long ago. They'll bend whichever way their domestic Muslim puppet masters terrorize them into bending. Actually, parliament's major bending contortion involves dropping down and grabbing their ankles anytime the muzzie boogeyman gives them a fright. They mistake Israelis as being cowards like themselves. This "symbolic gesture" says, "All you seven million Jews pack up and leave." What do you suppose the odds are of that ever happening? What's next on parliament's docket? The canonization of Neville Chamberlain?

I disagree.

Standing up for what is right is essential, whatever the consequences. If the vested interests are going to have a go then its best they are made to expose themselves, rather than win with the repression without a fight.

It's easy to imagine that the enemy has all sorts of weapons to bring to bear, and to fear them. When the enemy can be much harder pressed to deploy them than you guess. There is a great cost to using influence. You owe favours, you make enemies and cannot keep doing that. If you doubt this, just ask Israel.

Au contraire mon ami.

This is another example where Britain stands up again, after going along reluctantly with the US / Israeli line. There is no cowardice in opposing a mighty giant like the USA's foreign policy. It is indeed a courageous thing to do. Leading the way for many more civilised nations to follow.

hardly as the UK has not recognised the right to the land, just the right to meet with Israel and negotiate mutual borders. The more nations that recognise Palestine the more nails are being hammered into their coffin. The Palestinians are losing support every time they place a child on the front line, and more and more people are making connections between the Palestinians and IS, ISIS and ISIL and the other ISLAMONAZI TERRORIST GROUPS.

All of Palestine is the front line, so being born Palestinian makes you a target of the IDF immediately.

Even children kicking a football on the beach know that.

Not on recent polls that show very few people like Milliband and see him as unfit to lead the country. The deciding factor will be which of the two front runners will snare UKIP as a coalition partner, and the smart money is on the Conservatives. The limp dems have already put their feelers out to Labour who are looking towards a coalition even though the limp dems are losing support from the common man.

The daily mail is far from being a right wing rag, it is a joke in the UK amongst the many classes.

More undereducated left wing wannabees read the mail as they believe it makes them look intelligent, the same people also read the daily star for the information it publishes.

A party standing by the concerns of the majority of the population is not fascist, if it was then Labour were very fascist from the end of WW1 right up until the 1960's when neo Marxists started to infiltrate the Unions.

The Zionists have always mistrusted labour with good cause as Labour were the reason so many Jews died in Palestine between the wars.

Can you prove that?

Which is why UKIP will be a force to be reckoned with, they are not afraid of the muslims and will stand firm against them. One threat and they will mobilise the population to stand up and be counted, and then we will see a mass repatriation back to Pakistan again. Just like when the terrorists attacked London transport and Glasgow airport.

Problem is that Labour will be forever known as Americas poodle after the Iraq war. If the labour politicians could only have kept their fetishes to themselves and not get caught in two stings then the UK would have been able to tell America to get lost. But being perverts and lap dogs they were caught and were forced to murder thousands of UK soldiers. Then they opened the doors to muslim immigrants because they were scared of having to deal with the ISLAMONAZI TERRORISTS without being seen as racists.
