It looks like Britain finally realizes that it is rich donors who are funding ISIS. These donors are probably looking forward to a new Caliphate. Why else fund such a barbaric group?

LONDON: British Prime Minister David Cameron is under intense pressure to use a meeting with Qatari Amir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to call for an end to funding terrorists, including IS.

Cameron is expected to meet Shaikh Tamim this week, for talks on economic investment in Britain. It is believed the talks will be held in Downing Street on Wednesday or Thursday.

But critics want pressure to be put on Qatar to stop the flow of money between rich donors and extremists threatening countries around the world, according to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.

The Amir is also likely to meet Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) head Sir John Sawers.

Critics of Qatar will want that meeting to focus on terrorist organisations and ways of confronting IS.

Britain has been criticised for lagging behind the US in clamping down on terror money. MPs accuse the government, which has extensive trade links with Qatar, of being too close to the Gulf state.
