Didn't see it but I can't see anything "political" to make out of a sports event (on the contrary, sports is where we go to escape all that shit), so ---- a sports event at a college? That's the very venue for acting out mass enthusiasm with thousands of the like-minded. It's supposed to be electric. That's the whole point. Whether it's a play on the field, entertainment between the plays, or some famous personage among them, it's going to get exactly that collective response. Not to mention, what else is there to DO in Alabama. That's a lot of pent-up boredom, and that's why it draws.
