Breaking News Census Bureau Severing All Ties With ACORN

Try not to be so bitter. The news of ACORN having no influence in the census reporting can only be viewed as positive.

I'm not being bitter you hack, the only ones who have been bitter about the whole ACORN issue were people who didn't like Obama. Though that's not the only issue those same people are bitter on.

I'd rather not see ACORN part of the 2010 census if for the pure fact that Republicans have one less thing to bitch about, one less distraction among other things.

LOL so now I am a hack. Listen sport, disliking ACORN and disliking Obama and/or his policies are two separate issues. Of course, you can't hide the fact that the two are peas in a pod. But using your statement above, are we to assume Obama supporters are also supporters of ACORN? So Robbie, I hope you now see how stupid your above statement was?

]You'd rather everyone just "fall in line," correct? No resistance, no scrutiny, just do's as ya's told?

This latest ACORN scandal isn't a partisan deal, Son. Everyone of every stripe should be outraged equally.

Not at all, I support questioning what you read and questioning what you hear in the news. However, it's true that this is one issue that Republicans can no longer bitch about when it comes to Obama. Unless they care to bitch about the election some more.

What those people did was wrong, and while I am not "outraged" I am not happy about it.

I reserve my "outrage" for even more important issues, as should you. However, some of you seem to care more about ACORN than say the first responders on 9/11 or the troops coming home with PTSD. I'm not saying names as I could be wrong, but I see 4 different threads about ACORN and only 1 (mine) about how 85% of the first responders have lung cancer now and 1 in 8 U.S. troops are coming home with PTSD with the VA many times purposely labeling it as a "personality disorder."

I rather see outrage being directed at those issues, while severe dislike being directed at what ACORN did. Outrage is perhaps the highest group of angry you can be. Linking those two issues and this one together is a diservice to those who were brave on 9/11 and serving our country.

Putting words into my mouth or jumping to false conclusions is unbecoming of you. People who complained about ACORN in the last election directly complained about Obama as well. Democrat, Republican, whatever. Obama supporters are not supporters of ACORN. However, it is more than likely that people against ACORN are against Obama. That much is fact.

Now if you care to play word games, I'm sure you can go play scrabble. Remember, I'm not an Obamabot, if Obama was pulling this stuff then it was WRONG.

I stick to the topic or I don't enter a thread. Wagging the dog and other such deflections, including the now famous "Appeal to Mom" fallacy don't advance the discussion.

If you want to talk about "more important issues" then, by all means there are threads about those.

Are you onboard now, that ACORN should be investigated? If not, why not?

and how many fucking threads were made about Bush and florida?

Plenty I assume. However, what is it lately with the whole "two wrongs make a right." If Republicans want to say they are above "Liberals" then why act like they are all supposedly?

I see the same argument being made when it comes to Obama/Bush. Several people say because Bush did it, it's alright for Obama to also do it, which is wrong.

My question is where is the outrage for those issues? I have always been onboard to investigating ACORN if they were accused of illegal activity. The same goes with any group.

It's here, there and just about every messageboard I'm on. Those issues matter not a whit, in THIS thread however.

Have you watched the videos? Have you been following the developments?

You have NO "outrage" that TWO of ACORN's housing offices were working really really hard to use OUR money to fund TWO brothels which were gonna use underage, illegal girls as hookers?

You may need to look up the word bitter in the dictionary. Because the people who are concerned about Obama arent bitter. We have very clear reasons to be concerned. If you don't think there was a legitimate concern about having this questionable organization involved in the census to begin with, then you have your head in the sand. You think our sole purpose in life is to attack Obama simply because he has a D next to his name? The man has questionable radical ties. It's not bitterness speaking but an honest view at the facts of the situation.

I know you hated Bush. And you have high hopes for Obama. I just dont see how its possible to keep looking at him optimistically as we learn more and more about his past associations and his current agenda. I dont think you can honestly look at the facts and not be concerned. If thats bitterness, than you are seriously confused.

I haven't been able to follow the developments as much as I would like as I've been busy debating about Health Care and boggled down with college work.

I don't consider myself "outraged" by this issue. I am disgusted by this however and the people involved should be tried to the fullest extent of the law for their crimes. Just because I'm not "outraged" doesn't mean I'm also not angry either.

why would anyone be surprised about acorn when obama is connected to Wright and Van Jones, among others?

Sorry for sounding so cynical but ACORN has a shit load of subsidiary's that will take the ACORN name place.

Note:

1.) I did not say everyone was bitter about this, just that the people who were bitter were the ones who didn't like Obama.

2.) I don't think yours or anyone's sole purpose in life is to attack Obama because he has a D next to his name. However, many Republicans on this board I've seen many times give free passes to Republicans because they have an R next to their name. So the faux outrage by some is very transparent. (Don't worry Midnight, I'm not referring to you.)

3.) While I suppose "hate" might be a good way to describe my feelings towards President Bush, I do not have high hopes for Obama. If you have bothered to read any of my posts lately, you'd see that I consider Obama to have gone back on his word to Liberals. He ran as a Liberal candidate and acted as the complete opposite since being elected to office. Which is why I find it a bit funny when Republicans act like he's going to this country to Socialism. The man's not even a Liberal anymore because he got what he wanted by pretending to be one, POTUS.

Good news. ACORN has been caught doing too much that's illegal, they cannot be trusted at all with any contribution to such a vital tool to our country.

Yes,
It's a huge scam to collect government grants and funds and they have many names.

I agree, and I share another poster's call for an Investigation by the DOJ into their activities fully. It's time to put the brakes on them and other like orgs that garner TAXPAYER FUNDS with NO oversight.

What all people should be mad about is that your tax dollars are funding this organization, I don't give a rat's ass if you are a democrat, a republican or an independent. Obama was a lawyer for this group. Boy oh boy does he have the connections, Chicago style politics run amoke, now in Washington. That's the concern.
