But, folks who have been injured/sick and show up at the ER without insurance have always been provided for.... that is before ACA.

I know. Just wondering why someone wants to penalize ACA-protestors in ways I suspect they wouldn't want to penalize outright lawbreakers.

Nobody yet. It is hard to say what will be made of people who can't buy insurance in time because Healthcare.gov is screwed up and refuse to pay the penalty because of that. If they are tea party members, the IRS will probably just waterboard them.

The lawbreakers to whom I referred in my question about ERs were those who are in the country illegally.

anyone who boycotts the ACA should be put on a list of people who will be refused healthcare if they get injured/sick and show up at the Emergency Room without insurance.

But, folks who have been injured/sick and show up at the ER without insurance have always been provided for.... that is before ACA.
