Bourbon vs whiskey

I'm not too fussy or complicated 'bout whiskey...

jes' gimme Ezra Brooks on the rocks...

'n if ya ain't got Ezra, jes' gimme whatever ya got...

My preference is 25 year old Chivas Regal:

Goes great after dinner when relaxing with a nice cigar while reading the paper.

I've never been a drinker so....can someone tell me the difference between the two?

I love many expensive bourbons, but you might try an inexpensive one. Ancient Age is only $10 for a 750ml bottle and it is excellent.

If your liquor store does not carry it, ask them to.

Booker's, neat and slightly heated (via hand warming of glass)

Booker's is the smoothest and BEST bourbon you'll ever drink. If you haven't had it, try it. Everything else taste's cheap after you've experienced Bookers. If you water it down or have it over rocks you'll ruin it (my opinion) If your a cowboy and prefer your bourbon neat look no further. It’s an uncut, unfiltered, barrel proof bourbon.
Baker's is pretty decent though.

Picked up a bottle based on your recommendation and a little research.
While I do like the complexity I wouldnt call it smooth. Crown is way smoother.
But I guess any whiskey thats 128.9 proof is going to be a little harsh.
Would love to try it in an 80 proof.

I drink my whiskey (all types) on the rocks with just a splash of club soda to get some fizzyness in there to please the nasal passages when drinking.

I prefer Scotch, but also like a good Bourbon from time to time.
