Boehner: 'somebody's Boots Have To Be On The Ground'

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Sunday that he would call the House back into session if President Barack Obama asked for war authorization for the military campaign against the Islamic State, also called ISIS.

"I'd bring the Congress back," Boehner said on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos.

"At the end of the day, I think it's going to take more than airstrikes to drive them out of there," Boehner said Sunday. "At some point, somebody's boots have to be on the ground."

Asked if those boots had to be American, Boehner said, "We have no choice."

Personally, I don't want American combat troop boots on the ground in Iraq. How would Boehner pay for another ground war in Iraq? I doubt he would request any offsets.

What about boots in Syria is that going to be the free Syrian army that Obama did not want to arm and train for two years and just last month he called doctors,dentist, and pharmacist and said arming and training would be a fantasy?

Did He fail to train them properly?

Obama didn't fire the experienced Iraqi military commanders. Bush did. Now they're working for ISIS.
