Boehner and GOP quietly cave

the Republicans have never done anything but bitch. Now that they have both chambers of Congress they haven't even mentioned defunding ACA ... guess the 55+ times they passed it tired them out ...

There is the little matter of a stay by a judge in the woodwork.

(CNN)A federal judge in Texas has temporarily blocked President Barack Obama's executive action on immigration, which has drawn opposition from 26 states across the nation.

United States District Judge Andrew Hanen ruled late Monday night to block executive actions Obama took late last year to shield as many as 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation. In delaying the ruling, Hanen halted Obama's executive action, ruling that the administration had failed to comply with the Administrative Procedure Act, which calls for the White House to afford a longer notification and comment period before taking action.

It's going to the USSC. Live with it, Dems!!

Greg

You still don't get what the Obama's immigration EO is, do you? Why it exists. Its victory or loss is utterly secondary. Making republicans expend political capital opposing it the reason it exists. Latinos are going to remember who fought for immigration reform. And who opposed it.

And Dems will gladly live with that outcome.

Translation= They'll remember which Americans are okay with them sneaking into the country.

This example of linkage between Homeland Security and funding the presidents illegal immigration policy is a perfect example on why appropriation bill specific legislation is long past due in DC. Simply put ,no win, but then again we are talking about Washington DC where inefficiency is the name of the game.

Ya and republicans are once again pissed off at their lame duck party.

Hispanic vote given to GOP in 2004: 40%.

Hispanic vote given to GOP in 2008: 31%.

Hispanic vote given to GOP in 2012: 27%.

With this trend line, it will become impossible for the GOP to win the White House after 2016. Minorities are not going to vote for a party which so openly HATES them.

They understand that it is unpopular to force defunding with other fiscal matters.

This is hardly a cave - it is acting as the public wants. The right has not garnered any appreciation from the majority through shutdowns over defending things. they always loose.

There are the courts - where this exact action belongs. If the order is unconstitutional then the courts will take it down.

Well at least g5000 admits the immigration issue is a ploy to regain control through granting illegal aliens citizenship and right to vote. I guess its called buying votes. Funny how things change, even FDR wouldn't employ an executive order to save the lives of those attempting to escape Germany stranded on the Saint Lewis just prior to WW2.

Nice Try.

Blaze Radio even called it a "massive win" for Obama
