The answer's so simple and has an echo all of its own. Of all the places I've posted on and on every occasion been chucked off of, this place is just so accommodating. You've got the entire spectrum of the internet, who will generate friction whenever opposing elements come into contact - and that, as far as I can tell, is the key to this place's enduring success. Whatever reason you're here for, you're gaurunteed an audience.

Before registering, I'd been aware of USMB for a while due to the amount of Canadian's that posted - or did - on USMB's UK equivalent. After a while I got sick and tired of the UK equivalent's far-left editorial line, so I left after bombarding the UK board with some very explicit pornographic images - childish, I know, but an alienated chap's gotta do what an alienated chap's gotta do, right?

Anyway, I could go on for years about how heavy-handed the UK boards I would frequent are in terms of moderation and censoring, but that's neither here nor there. Suffice to say, this place lets you say/write what you feel needs to be put out there, and the management don't care if you step on any toes while doing so - and I don't care who you are or where you come from, but that, I'm undoubtably sure you'll agree, is a sure-fire recipe for success.

Loosest board around. You can say pretty much whatever you please....Most of the mods are fair, only a couple of 'em are partisan rep whores and hypocrites.

Most of the people are cool, except for a few true douchbags.....You can have great debates, or just hammer the shit out of the liars, racists, and those who can't manage more than one line snarky BS.

All in all, I haven't seen a better board yet.

I've been on another message board for over 10 years, primarily fan-based, and someone suggested I check this place out. I totally forget who that was and for all I know I could be shitting all over his threads LOL. Anyhow, these days I spend much more time here than there.

The sheer volume of topics, volume of posts, volume of bullshit.
It's all about volume.

I agree, it is all about volume. I can always find a neutral thread with "no foul no harm" themes and those few keep me here. I love the options, the avatars, and Ignore feature. This site really is customizable. Nice! Good mods and posters. Some really funny and really smart peeps, this site attracts.

There are many message boards. Why do you, personally, post at this one? What are the pros and cons here if someone asks you about the board you post at although you do not tell them exactly where it is located?
I have been asked where I disappeared to from my old home board I used to hang out at. My response was vague but it made me think about why I came here...and stayed.
So I thought I'd ask you why you came here...and stayed as well.

Yes, Allie, USMB does have a UK equivalent, but its only likeness is in format and forum sub-sections. Content is overly-censored and dumbed-down as a result of being overrun by far-left Euro fags for some time now. It really isn't worth wasting your bandwidth on. On reflection, Huggy's assumption (based partly on an inherent antipathy towards the British because of what we did to his illiterate, bog-dwelling ancestors) is probably quite close to the mark.
