The proposed idea is that the delegates will eventually walk out on Trump...when reality, if they do walk out, they will be walking out on everyone who voted for Trump and on Democracy itseld, demonstrating a belief that they know what is better for the people and country than the majority who voted for Trump. That's pretty much espousing the same elitist arrogance in which liberals shroud themelves.

It is not their job to 'save' the people who cast their votes but rather to REPRESENT them and the will of the people.

Well, watching "part of it" tonight--and I mean it was really hard to watch. There is no enthusiasm in that crowd, even the Hillary hits were met with a very dull reaction a few hand claps here and there. I think the overwhelming majority on that floor have realized there is no hope with this Chimpanzee nominee, and probably just want to go home as quickly as possible. Whether they'll just get up and walk out who knows.

You're right Colorado delegates walked out--whether they're flying back home now is too early to tell. I live in Colorado and they're a different kind of a Republican in this state. Mostly moderate middle of the road, with only a few Reich wing nutcases in the bunch. We are changing back to a primary state, making certain that far right or far left candidates don't have a snowballs chance in hell in this state. Colorado will defiinitely be in Hillary Clinton's column.
