4 - The arab clan the individual belonged to

The palestinian identity was practically non-existent.

Amazon has removed a book titled ‘A History of the Palestinian People: From Ancient Times to the Modern Era’ after international outcry. The book was blank.

Countless complaints were sent to Amazon stating that the book is a “sick joke” and a “racist endeavour”. “This is not a book. It is not only blank, but a ridiculous attempt at de-valuing a whole nation,” wrote Nikki Ghanayem, “History cannot be erased by making a thinly veiled political statement and charging for it.”

Racist and prejudiced remarks and stereotypes often are based on some truths. And it's true that the Palestinian people have no unique culture or history. Let us know when the Palestinian Museum in Birzeit opens some actual exhibits to show off.

Of course the Palestinian people have a unique history and culture. They have accumulated that history in Palestine for far longer than the 100 years or so the European colonists and their descendants have lived in the area. Early on, the Ebionites and Nazarenes (converted Jews) the original Palestinians had a culture unique from the Jews although all spoke Aramaic. Many early Christian saints are Palestinians, Saint Justin Martyr, Saint George, etc. Eusebius of Caeserea, another Palestinian, is considered the historian of the church. Saint Sabas, lived most of his life in Palestine and is considered one of the fathers of Christian monasticism.

Under Muslim rule, Palestine was a noted center for Sufism.

"This article is part of a comprehensive study of the Sufis of medieval Palestine. At its heart resides the birth of locally embedded Sufi-inspired associations in this historical framework in the course of the Earlier Middle Period (late tenth to mid-thirteenth centuries). Drawing on the profiles of renowned Sufi traditionalists and legalists living in the Palestine of the time, the article highlights the assimilation of Sufis into the scholarly circles of the religiously learned, the ‘ulam’, and the social order....."

Of course, Palestinian culture and history were strongly influenced by Christian pilgrimages before and after the reign of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, making Palestinians unique, especially its large Christian population, among surrounding Arab cultures.

Palestinian Arabic is unique enough to have had language manuals written to help students learn it. Here is one published during the Ottoman period.

It still is non-existent. When asked directly what the difference is between Palestinians, Syrians and Jordanians, the Palestinians typically answer, "nothing."

Disgusting woman. She posts this demonizing crap all the time, and she claims to be Christian, a self-hating Christian who hates fellow Christians.

Eusebio of Caesarea’s De martyribus Palestinae (Palestinian Martyrs) is a manuscript that discusses the Palestinian Christians who were executed (and therefore martyred for their faith).

Eusebio of Caesarea was born and raised in Caesarea Marittima, Palestine in 263 AD and became Bishop of Caesarea Marittiman in 314 AD.

Really, is that why Evangelicals and Protestants overwhelmingly support Israel? Is that why Israeli Christian volunteers into the IDF is going up all the time? I suggest you differentiate between Christian and Catholic (as in Mel Gibson's brand).

The world's Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians, the real Christians, overwhelmingly support their Christian bretheren in Palestine. By the way, Roman Catholics and Orthodox represent almost 70% of the world's Christians. Protestants are a collection of tiny cults.

The world's Protestants and Evangelicals overwhelmingly support their Christian bretheren in Palestine. You are confusing Americans with the majority of the world's Protestants and Evangelicals. Even in the U.S. the Protestants and Evangelicals are beginning to support their fellow Christians:

"Evangelical Lutheran Church In America Becomes 9th Denomination To Divest From Israel

The ELCA, which boasts about 4 million members in 10,000 congregations, joined the Quakers, Mennonite Central Committee, United Methodists, Presbyterians, United Church of Christ, Unitarian Universalists, Catholic Conference of Major Superiors of Men, and the Alliance of Baptists in dropping investments that support Israel’s apartheid policies toward the indigenous Palestinian population, according to an announcement from the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation.

It's hilarious how the rabid anti-Semite presumes to define "the real Christians".
You mean enemy within Islamists who pretend to be "Christians".

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!

We have just heard the mother of all bombshells!!!!

THERE IS NO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE!!!!

Someone go to the UN and tell the Secretary-General and all the world leaders that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has finally, abruptly come to an end!!!!

No one in their wildest dreams could have imagined the conflict would end in such a bizarre fashion:

The arab people who had spent the last 120 years fighting the colonization of their land by european invaders, their exile and imprisonment in ethnic enclaves have just vanished into thin air!!

Tell Netanyahu to tear down the Wall, the fences, the machine gun nests....

HELL... TELL HIM TO DISBAND THE ENTIRE IDF ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!

The very same people who until yesterday had to be kept from returning to Jaffa, Haifa, Jerusalem under death threat, who were willing to die and endure decades of tremendous suffering for their birthright have experienced a collective change of heart overnight and from now on will leave the israeli army alone and will fight to the death against the armed forces of Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt for their right to return to Damascus, Aleppo, Amman, Baghdad and Cairo!!

Someone give Shusha the next Nobel Peace Prize, for Christ's sake!!

She single-handedly performed the miracle of solving the most intractable ethnocratic conflict in human history by merely declaring the nonexistence of one of the parties, the nonexistence of the palestinian people!!

NO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE = NO CONFLICT

Who could have ever thought it was so simple?

Arabs and palestinians for decades did not consider "palestinian" was anything but a tool to destroy Israel.

They were not a people, not really. In the 70's a history and culture was created.

They were arabs, egyptians, jordanians, syrians

The mandate was Jerusalem, Acre, Nablus sanjuks. Similar divisions through what is now Syria and Lebanon, divided into city states with outline land around them. People identified by the city or sanjuk they lived in.

Another candidate for the next Nobel Peace Prize...

The palestinian people do not exist.

You don't have millions of arabs living in Gaza, WB, Jordan, Lebannon, etc... longing to return to their places of origin in Lydda, Haifa, Ikrit, Jerusalem, who participate in massive peaceful protests alongside the jordanian/israeli border, the lebanese/israeli border, and who are and willing to join the armed struggle for their rights.

You don't have millions of arabs willing to endure blockades, embargos and all kinds of economic hardships designed to strongarm them into renouncing their natural rights.

You don't have millions of arabs who after being the targets of military onslaught after military onslaught, write dozens of petitions with hundreds of thousands of signatures asking Arafat not to compromise their rights.

You don't have millions of arab children who visualize and draw the map of Palestine without Israel in it when you ask them about their homeland.

You don't have any of that.

In the parallel universe inhabited by the racist Jew and the super patriotic american clown the palestinian people is a fraud and the entire Israeli/Palestinian conflict is a figment of the imagination.

So what's Netanyahu waiting for to start demolishing the separation wall, the fences around gaza and disband the IDF?

Peoples have heard, they are troubled; Pain hath seized inhabitants of Philistia.

Palestine and Philistia are the same place in Greek you idiot. And, the King James version is what the Protestants use and it says Palestina.
Ha ha ha what a buffoon! Since when does the Muslim who pretends to be Catholic quote the ONE Protestant version that has it spelled incorrectly? As opposed to ALL the other versions, that has it spelled Philistia. And I'd be careful calling them the same considering what is said about the Philistines in the Bible! Now go peddle your fraud elsewhere, fly that buzzes and lands shit all the time. LOL

Lie of Palestine

A grievous, if not willful, mistake frequently occurring in Christian publications is labeling the Land given by divine covenant to Jacob and his posterity as "Palestine." The English word translates the Greek Palaistinē and the Hebrew Palestina, neither of which occurs anywhere in Scripture. The original Bible term is P’leshet (LXX Phulistieim), which occurs eight times in the Tanakh (Ex 15:14, Ps 60:8; 83:7; 87:4;108:9; Isa 14:29, 31; Joel 3:4), always referring to Mediterranean coastal region of Israel, called Philistia, occupied by the Philistines (p’lishti) (BDB 814).

The venerable King James Version inexplicably renders p'leshet as "Palestina" at Exodus 15:14; Isaiah 14:29, and 31, and yet in the rest of the occurrences of p'leshettranslates the word as Philistia or Philistines. Christians have substituted "Palestine" for Israel, especially the titles of Bible maps or on the geographical boundaries shown on Bible maps, on the assumption that "Palestine" is a neutral term without political connotations. Nothing could be further from the truth. Calling biblical Israel or the present State of Israel "Palestine" is not simply inaccurate, but demeans God's choice of the name "Israel."

amazon pulls a blank book, but Mein Kampf is still being sold?????

A blank book is free speech. Mein Kampf is hate speech that lead the death of millions

Palestinians spend $24 million on a museum in the West Bank, that has no exhibits, but a book that makes the best seller list gets pulled (at least on one site)?

More alice in wonderland un-logic
Why Is a book of blank pages of value beyond fad? Like mein Kampf...is it not another vehicle to spread hate?

Arabs and palestinians for decades did not consider "palestinian" was anything but a tool to destroy Israel.

They were not a people, not really. In the 70's a history and culture was created.

They were arabs, egyptians, jordanians, syrians

The mandate was Jerusalem, Acre, Nablus sanjuks. Similar divisions through what is now Syria and Lebanon, divided into city states with outline land around them. People identified by the city or sanjuk they lived in.

But now they are a people and the only purpose of such a book is to deny them their identity :(
