BERN IT DOWN: Sanders' 'Scorched-Earth' Stunner

He's an ego maniac and an attention whore like Trump.
your right Rav....but you should have stuck hillary in that sentence too....because she is one also....
I don't doubt that. But she is cosmopolitan enough to know which side her bread is buttered on. The other two are not.
as rich as trump is, he is probably one of the butterers....
Maybe. but listening to his latest comments, I don't think so.

no one has said that all the ones doing the buttering are smart....they are just richer....

Bernie Sanders has no realistic path to the Democratic nomination. Despite the protestations of postmodern mathematicians, his campaign is no longer about who will represent Blue America in the main event this fall, but rather, how Hillary Clinton will choose to represent it.

The socialist senator still refuses to cop to this fact. Earlier this week, he suggested that anyone who thinks Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee must harbor a secret longing for authoritarian rule. And his campaign promises to take its fight to the convention, even in the (beyond likely) scenario that Clinton boasts a massive lead in pledged delegates when all the votes are counted.

In justifying this patently anti-democratic stance, the campaign has encouraged supporters to view its losses as illegitimate – reflections of a process rigged through too few debates, too many closed primaries, and too much cooperation between the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton. For some Sanders supporters, this critique has taken on the moral authority of the candidate’s jeremiads against the “rigged” financial system, magnifying the stakes of the primary fight and the animosity they feel toward its likely winner.

Sanders is just a bitter old man who got his socialist ass kicked by Hillary. His scorched-earth agenda is not good for Democrats or America. He should rise above his bitterness. It is becoming more and more evident why he has never been a Democrat until running for president. He should have run as a Socialist Party candidate.

Agreed 100%. But I think Sanders is much more than your average run of the mill socialist's. Really in my many years, I have never witnessed a politician in this country praise Fidel Castro, one of the most brutal, murderous dictators to come out of the 20th century.

While Millennials have no clue who he was, I can assure you that the largest generation in this nation's history, baby boomers, knows who Fidel Castro is, and what he did. If they don't Republicans are certain to remind them

So--Bernie Sanders refusal to drop out may have something to do with his leaning toward communism. It's like he is trying to self appoint himself as the nominee of the party.

Sanders has completely alienated the Democrat party. I think it will be a cold day in hell, before the Democrat party ever allows another candidate to change their party status to run on their ticket again.

If he keeps this up after June 7th, he and his supporters will not be welcome at the Democrat convention, they may shut the door on them.

In my years of being involved in politics, Bernie Sanders is the 1st one that I would actually refer to as a communist.

Lefties seem to have a flair for the dramatic when they get frustrated. Staying in the race until one candidate or the other has the majority of delegates is hardly an example of "scorched earth" policy. Hillary would be far worse off if the DNC didn't cheat and award Hillary delegates she didn't earn.

The reason for 714 Democrat Super Delegates is 1984. This country is center, it always has been, it always will be. It will not elect far left or far right candidates, much less a recognized and confirmed socialist. You mention the word "socialist" in this country and the overwhelming majority will get a bad taste in their mouth.
Sanders who is out there campaigning on free college tuition, and adding an additional 29 trillion dollars in federal government spending, when we're already 19 trillion in red ink. IOW--Sanders would be slaughtered in the General Election, and these Super Delegates KNOW that.

While most Americans are politically ignorant, they also are very protective of their wallets, and they're not stupid enough to believe that another 29 trillion dollars in Federal Government spending isn't going to effect their take home pay.

So if Sanders was the nominee, this is what you could expect on election night. Just move the blue part over to Vermont.

Instead of attacking the Super Delegates you really should be thanking them.

Yeah, the old saying says that Democrats fall into line...

Oh, wait. That's Republicans.

Democrats want to win the White House. That's the end goal.

Bernie Sanders and his supporters might as well be working for the Trump campaign at this point. The longer Sanders stays in a race he's already lost, the more he alienates the Democrat party, the more respect and support he loses.

The will of the voters have spoken, Hillary Clinton has a 3 million+ lead over Bernie Sanders and it's going to get a lot bigger than that on June 7th. New Jersey with 147 delegates, New Mexico with 43 are Clinton territory. They will come in first on the 7th. She will probably secure the nomination before California starts reporting.

If Sanders does not drop out of this race on the 7th, and doesn't endorse Hillary Clinton, he, nor his supporters will be welcomed at the National convention.

Wow. Donald Trump is no Ronald Reagan.

It occurred to me that the greatest example of political scorched earth was of course Clinton's former V.P. who lost to Bush and without any scientific background, created the biggest left wing fraud in history. I have to admit that it was a brilliant piece of political intrigue. Al Gore played his own party like a violin and even stood to make a bundle with fake energy credits. It was pure genius just when democrats needed an issue to bring down the Country they hate and open the U.S. to hundreds of extortion schemes. Gore's energy credit scam didn't work out but the democrat party had a global issue they could use like a freaking baseball bat on the unsuspecting public. Global Warming was perfect if the left wing "scientific community" got aboard and the liberal media cooperated which hey did. .
