Before COVID, the last pandemics of any note were the 1957 Asian Flu and the 1968 Hong Kong Flu, and before that the 1918 Spanish Flu. It has not been explained why outbreaks and possible pandemics are now every few years, and have entered the daily fake news. Why?

In 1969 while the Hong Kong flu raged, we didn't have lockdowns but Woodstock. It was fine.

There was a swine flu pandemic in 2009/2010 but the White House Pandemic Office under Barrack Obama handled it, using the science.

AIDS is a pandemic which hit in the 1980's and you've ignored that completely.

I was living in Toronto when SARS hit in 2003 and that was SCARY as hell and it changed everyone's behaviour in Toronto forever after. There was no cure, nobody knew how it was spread, and hospital workers who treated the sick were dying.

I was working on Bay Street and you could roll a bowling ball through the Underground at lunch time and not hit anybody. Usually it was thronging with office workers having lunch, indoor concerts. Everybody brought their lunch and ate at their desk.

There were no lockdowns or mask mandates, everybody just stayed home. Movie theatres, plays, bars, restaurants, concerts. Stuff wasn't cancelled. People just stayed home, until it was over.

It was the common sense thing to do. But when the government tells you to do it - it's "FASCISM" and it must be fought tooth and claw.
