Just imagine if the site of the congressional baseball game was a “gun-free zone”. No mystery. As Senator Rand Paul said >> “It would have been a massacre.” That’s absolutely right. Once again, it is proven that the only thing stopping a bad guy with a gun, is a GOOD GUY WITH A GUN.

The disturbing and very dangerous phenomenon known as the “gun-free zone” came about during the Obama administration. This is the prohibition of guns, even by law-abiding licensed carriers. And the Jihadist-in-Chief succeeded in getting at least 76 Americans killed as a result of in (in Fort Hood, TX, San Bernardino, CA, and the Pulse Club, in Orlando, FL).

These places, often labeled with stickers showing a gun with a diagonal line drawn through it, are invitations to terrorists, and bad guys of all sorts. Unlike previous gun attacks where good guys were unarmed, (like the 3 mentioned above), the attack against Republican members of Congress, did have 2 good guys with guns. These armed security guys fought it out with the attacker, and killed him.

This is reminiscient of the 2002 LAX attack, when a Muslim jihadist, Ahmed Mohemmed Hadayet, entered Los Angelses Airport, with 2 handguns, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. LAX was filled with people at the time, and Hadayet could have enacted a bloodbath. He did kill 2 people and wounded some others, but was shot to death right on the spot by a security guard.

Both of these incidents show the critical necessity of the “good guy with a gun”, as opposed to the reckless Obama policy of leaving Americans unarmed and defenseless, against armed attackers. In liberal cities (ex. San Francisco, New York, etc) this lamebrain policy is extended over the entire city, putting everyone at risk, and the bad guys in control.

Gun-Free Zone laws have been around for decades. Also, you're allowed to legal carry in airports in California. It is legal to do so in 44 states.

SORRY, BUT, the baseball field WAS a gun-free zone! The Congressmen are NOT allowed to carry guns. Police are not affected by gun-free zones. Had it NOT been a gun-free zone, Scalise might not be in the hospital now fighting for his life.

You're an idiot's idiot.

Gun free zones do not bar armed security guards.

1. I never heard of a gun-free zone, or ever saw a gun-free zone sticker, until Obama came around.

2. I lived in California until 1989. Just before I left, in an airport, I had to keep my gun in a concealed luggage separate from the ammunition, and even that needed to be in a secure container. So California has gotten more conservative ? LOL. That's hard to believe.

3. No matter what laws are regarding airports, there still are thousands of gun-free zone places. Even our military members aren't safe in their own bases (8 years after the Fort Hood attack), nor are veterans in VA hospitals.

Be that as it may, Gun-Free Zones have been around for decades. Just b/c you've never heard them of before Obama doesn't mean they didn't exist decades prior.

I think that the military directive that banned most people from carrying on military bases is rather silly. That directive was issued by the Army in 1992 under H.W. Bush and was fully implemented during the first months of The Clinton Administration.

That is MY point. Having reading comprehension problems ?

You're an idiot's idiot.

Gun free zones do not bar armed security guards.
Armed security guards are only as effective as they are in enough quantity to handle the problem.

Example VA hospital in Tampa has armed VA police, but 99% of the hospital has no presence of them. It;'s a gun-free zone, where the armed "security" has almost zero effectiveness. Open invitation to terrorists. Got it ?

And I did all that without name-calling. Are you inspired ?

So who was supposed to be able to carry guns on the ball field that morning? The shooter?

If your playing 2nd base. Where the hell Do you keep your gun?

And are u saying the guy targeted a gun free zone ? Cause there were 2 cap police there .

Why would pro gun GOP members practice at a gun free zone ?

All of D.C. is a "gun-free" zone. When you don't even let the very people under threat, Senators and the like, conceal carry, well, that is just fucked up. Too bad they killed that shooter. He got off way too easy.

They were in Virginia.

They were in Virginia.

So is D.C. Well, Virginia and Maryland. The ball field was just across the Potomac river from the business district proper in Alexandria County, which is still part of the DC metropolitan complex. I don't know the exact laws, but if nothing else, they were coming from DC proper and returning there afterwards, so either way, they would have had to been carrying to and from their business district within DC proper to be armed at the ball field as well. Bottom line, no rational reason why these guys should not be armed. Another blind gun law that has nearly ruined another life for purely political reasons. Had it not been for Scalise being #3 republican, there would have been NO capitol police assigned there and you'd have a whole lot of dead.
