Damper was made by swaggies (hobos) as it was cheap and the ingredients were light and cheap.

Ingredients:

500 grams plain flour

water

sultanas or raisins

salt

Best cooked in a hot bed of coals in a camp oven

Combine flour,water and a pinch of salt
Mix until doughy
Place in camp oven cover with hot coals
Check once or twice to ensure Damper does not burn.
When cooked break apart and lather with butter.
 
hehe, can you please use cups etc. - I am too stupid to change...HAHA!
