Yes, there are many problems with our voting system and it makes it all too easy for many to commit fraud. Only way to fix it is to start with updating voter rolls. Do away with motor voter registration and have people register on their own, providing all necessary ID when doing so. That way, only those who vote will bother to register and they will have to prove who they are in order to register.

Voter ID is more likely to encourage people to vote because they will feel that their vote actually counts instead of feeling like the duplicate voters, dead voters, illegal voters and other cheating will void their valid vote.

Anyone against updating voter rolls and double checking that all voters are legitimate likely want that room to cheat.

"If you have no idea what happened at the second meeting of President Donald Trump’s Advisory Commission on Election Integrity in New Hampshire on Sept. 12, I’m not surprised.

Though a horde of reporters attended the meeting, almost all of the media stories that emerged from it simply repeated the progressive left’s mantra that the Commission is a “sham.”

Almost no one covered the substantive and very concerning testimony of 10 expert witnesses on the problems that exist in our voter registration and election system.

The witnesses included academics, election lawyers, state election officials, data analysts, software experts, and computer scientists.

The existing and potential problems they exposed would give any American with any common sense and any concern for our democratic process cause for alarm.

The first panel included Dr. Andrew Smith of the University of New Hampshire, Kimball Brace of Election Data Services, Inc., and Dr. John Lott. They testified about historical election turnout statistics and the effects of election integrity issues on voter confidence.

Lott also testified that his statistical analyses show that contrary to the narrative myth pushed by some, voter ID does not depress voter turnout. In fact, there is some evidence that it may increase turnout because it increases public confidence in elections."

Just checked the link. You're right, Heritage Foundation hacks.

Laughable.
I'll say the same to you. Point out the incorrect stories in the link? Did those meetings not happen? Were those announcements not made.

If you have a case to make, make it.

They use the favorite tactic of ignoring facts by attacking the messenger. Won't work. The meetings and testimony are real. But it doesn't fit the narrative so they refuse to even acknowledge it, let alone respond.

Debunking the heritage foundation is always easy. That's why some here are so quick to dismiss them.

Voter fraud is extremely rare, with occurrences ranging between 0.000005 and 0.00003 among the 4 states which went looking for voter fraud and found 324 possible cases among the 29 million votes cast in those states in 2016.

Just the Facts on Fraud

There were no facts presented. Mostly opinion. Even a statistical analysis can be fudged if bad data is put in. Also we had the smearing of New Hampshire. The statistics are meaningless as people who are domiciled in New Hampshire can vote and are not required to establish a residency. They have to show proof such as a current student id.

Some of the witnesses have a bias. I do not consider Heritage and Judicial Watch to be unbiased observers. Never mind the fact that Heritage has nowhere near 3 million illegal voting cases.

Some of the solutions are ridiculous. Kobach tried to match alleged voters who were registered in multiple states and ended up preventing people who were legitimate voters to be prevented from voting. Voter lists should not be shared between states.

The fact is that you are nowhere near 3 million illegal voters. That was the only purpose of this commission.

Here's what New Hampshire requires to vote....also what is needed if you are a college student with a legal, out of state license which is what most of the out of state ID's were from....

Basically, you have to have proof that you live in the State, then you can use your govt Driver's license from another State as proof you are a citizen of the USA.

New Hampshire

Identification Requirements to Cast a Ballot

Valid forms of identification are:

  • A driver’s license issued by any state or the federal government;
  • A New Hampshire non-driver identification card or a non-driver identification card issued by the motor vehicles division, department, agency, or office of any other state;
  • A United States armed forces identification card;
  • A United States passport or passcard;
  • A valid student identification if the card is issued by:
    • A college, university, or career school in New Hampshire and approved to operate or licensed to operate in New Hampshire;
    • A public high school in New Hampshire;
    • A non-public high school in New Hampshire that is accredited by a private school accrediting agency that is recognized by the New Hampshire Department of Education;
    • Dartmouth College; or
    • A college or university operated by the university system of New Hampshire or the community college system of New Hampshire.
The photo identification also typically must have an expiration date that is not more than five years old. However, you may use an older identification card if you are 65 years of age or older. Additionally, student identification cards do not need to have a date of expiration or issuance until September 1, 2018.

In other words, you do not need to have such a date on your student identification to use it at the polls in the 2016 election.

The name on the identification shall substantially conform to the name on the voting checklist.

A voter who does not have an approved photo identification may obtain a free photo identification for voting purposes by presenting a voucher from their town or city clerk or the New Hampshire Secretary of State to any New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office that issues identification.

Without one of these forms of identification, you may:

  • Vote with a challenged voter affidavit. If you execute a challenged voter affidavit, you will be photographed (if you object to being photographed due to your religious beliefs, you will have to execute an additional affidavit of religious exemption); or
  • Vote, if you provide a photo identification other than those listed above that is determined to be legitimate by the supervisors of the checklist, the moderator, or the clerk of a town, ward, or city, assuming that no one authorized to do so challenges the use of such identification (if so, you will have to execute a challenged voter affidavit); or
  • Vote, if the supervisors of the checklist, the moderator, or the clerk of a town, ward, or city (not a ballot clerk) verifies your identity, assuming that no one authorized to do so challenges the use of such identification (if so, you will have to execute a challenged voter affidavit).
If you filled out a challenged voter affidavit in order to vote on Election Day, you will receive a verification letter from the New Hampshire Secretary of State requesting confirmation that you voted in the election. If you do not respond in writing within 90 days of the date it was mailed, the New Hampshire Attorney General will conduct an investigation to determine whether fraudulent voting occurred.

If you are registering to vote by absentee, be sure to contact your town or city clerk’s office for more information.

VoteRiders has created New Hampshire voter ID info cards in English and in Spanish.

If you’re not sure what ID you need or for help getting an ID to vote, call 844.338.8743. Someone will respond to walk to you through the process.

So you too are gonna fall on this sword? Please point out the falsehoods in the link.

I'll wait....

If you have some dishonest poll workers, and we do, it's easy for them to fill out ballots ahead of time based on the estimate of how many people will actually vote, usually a third of eligible voters. There were reports of poll workers sitting in back rooms filling out ballots and boxes of ballots being sent to private addresses. So, we have all these people automatically registered to vote through motor voter registration and only about a third bother to cast a ballot. That means millions of ballots in each state that belong to legally registered voters but not used. So, someone decides to fill them out and cast a vote. Who would know the difference unless all voters were actually contacted and asked whether they exercised their right to vote or not. No one has ever done that.

We saw places that supposedly had unusually high turnout in Dem counties, some were over 100%. Now, what are the odds that there is an effort to make use of those ballots that are intended for legally registered voters who won't use them?

It would be so easy to cheat and ensure millions of votes for your candidate. None of it would show up even under an intense investigation because all ballots would appear legit. Again, without actually polling registered voters to find out if they were actually the ones to use their ballot, how would any of this be detected?

First, we get rid of motor voter because it allows millions of ballots to be used for cheating. 2/3 of those ballots are just there, waiting for someone to fill them out since only about a third of voters even bother. Does anyone think that the dishonest people would resist the temptation?

When some poll workers reported that other poll workers were sitting around a table in the back room filling out stacks of ballots, it's not hard to guess what's up. They know voters won't show up to use those ballots so they decided to cast the votes for them.

All voter rolls should be purged right now. Erase the whole lot of them in each state. Start over by having people register on their own. Only serious voters will bother. That way, we will have fairly close to 100% of registered voters showing up to the polls or sending in an absentee ballot. No more extra ballots laying around that someone can fill out and vote on behalf of people for.

Republicans are liars. They have no interest in voter fraud. What they DO have an intense interest in is voter SUPPRESSION. This is something they work at constantly. Intimidating minority voters at the polls. Making it difficult to register, changing rules, moving polling places, changing the hours. Doing everything possible to destroy Democratic voters' opportunity to simply vote. Republicans cannot win in an honest election.

Sadly, the Dems have done everything possibly to shoot themselves in the foot. Corrupt DNC, awful candidates, etc. So they just end up giving elections to the GOP crooks.

But, cheating is the only way republicans know how to operate. Gerrymandered districts is the only reason why republicans can keep their House seats. It is the reason GOP reps don't have to govern responsibly or cooperate with others to get things done. Their cheating and conniving is what has made our government as dysfunctional as it is. They cheat, lie, and do everything possible to destroy our government, then they have the nerve to complain about our government not working.

The only way to change this is for Dems to get off their asses and show up to vote. They also have to actively work to root out corrupt politicians in their own party. But it's a waste of time trying to reason with republicans about voter fraud — they are the cause of it, up to their neck in it. And the fraud is working for them they don't want to change anything, except to find more and better ways to suppress the minority vote.
