Given that this election will undoubtedly get a little intense at times I thought keeping an eye on the race in Arizona's 4th would help keep things lively.

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ-4) in the incumbent. Mikel Weisser (D) is running against him. While Weisser is known for his sense of humor but he also knows his stuff. This is from a couple years ago.

Yes it appears both sides polarize the Left and Right too much,
where one has to be right and the other wrong.

That is "dumbing it down." But both sides are equally guilty!

The real solutions come from taking the best points from both sides,
and recognizing why both are necessary to check and balance each other.

We don't hear about that in the media, because it requires deep critical analysis
and thorough understanding, acceptance and agility in working with the
POSITIVE strengths and NEGATIVE weaknesses on BOTH the left and the right.

Not demonizing one for the other.

AZ = corrupt and loves dumb.

Mikel Weisser for US Congress

For example, on Weissel's website, his letter posted to Senator Yee
only preaches about one side of the problem.

This approach totally leaves out the solutions coming from the Christian conservative right in terms of GETTING RID OF THE DEMAND and NOT NEEDING or DESIRING DRUGS AT ALL.

If the legalization movement keeps demonizing the rightwing position for the "drug wars"
we are throwing out the solutions -- where we could AGREE to GET RID of drug abuse and addiction in more effective ways. I never hear that part, only screaming about the wars.

So this is why you end up with both sides screaming at the other, left and right.
How can we hear, talk about or work out solutions with the blame and yell wars going on?

A smarter approach would be to focus on what we agree on,
not fight to attack or deny problems on either side,
trying to outyell or outvote each other.

We should have learned by now that doesn't work to build relations or solutions.
We need to work smarter than this!

Watching the House lately I do not exactly think focusing on "what we agree on" is part of the Republican agenda. 69% of America thinks Congress should pass the unemployment insurance benefits extension. Republicans will not bring it to a vote. American support is even higher for Immigration Reform and Republicans will not bring that to the Floor. The, "oh well, both sides are equally to blame" is exactly what the Republicans want the middle to believe.
