Are there any 'Centrists' here?????? ANYONE?????

If the lenders had had to hold on to every loan they wrote instead of being able to sell them off to unsupecting buyers they NEVER would have written all the sub prime.

The Broker rules would have made even BANK employed brokers be accredited.

By holding back these rules for 8 years a broker could be any smuck off the street the bankers wanted to hire.

They could then train them ANY way they wanted.

They trained them to roll sub prime into securities and then sell them off to unsuspecting buys so sub prime could make the banks money.

Follow the money.

and stop following lush limballs

I don't believe that pragmatism can be accepted as centrist. A centrist has an ideology that is in the middle. The center of politics shifts. That this time it is to the left and specifically seems to have a decided socialist element.

If they had to be accredited they would NOT have done what the bank asked them to do.

They could be in BIG trouble if they had.

I can't imagine a more centrist POTUS choice than Mitt Romney.

I expect if he were allowed to have expressed his true beliefs, you would have been right. But then, if he had you would not have supported him.

Both of the candidates were centrists, it was just that Romney was hampered by a fringe which has held power far beyond its actual influence. If the party had given that fringe the attention (rather, lack of attention) it deserved, come January we would almost certainly be watching the inauguration of President Romney. I think the party leadership is coming to that realization.

You think I didn't know what Romney was all about, then?

Yes.

See NOT one con can explain that 8 year battle by the Bush admin to hold back the broker rules.

Thanks TDM, most of the board will take this as I am telling the truth, because of your disassociation with same.

I'm not going to address your "socialist element" comment until you define precisely what you mean by that. I have come to realize that word is tossed around by quite a few people who have not the slightest idea what it means.

What exactly is the ideology in the middle?

I'm sorry. Are you under the impression any of us have an obligation to prove you wrong? That is not how it works. You made a claim, back it up. I am still waiting. I have no intention of wasting any time doing your work for you.

this country united to re-elec Obama.

You people just dont like unity so you pretend it didnt happen

The truth is, the country didn't unite to re-elect obama. obama won by a barely squeaked out majority. That's only counting those that voted. The ones who didn't vote at all don't want him either. Democrats would like to think that this means he had overwhelming support, but he didn't. Unity in the US is pretty much done. Both sides are digging in and hardening positions. obama has close to half the country, who reject him as leader and won't accept him as leader but will find ways to obstruct what he does want to do.
