Dershowitz Slams 'Very Unfair' Decision to Jail Manafort: It's 'Obnoxious to Our Constitution'

Attorney Alan Dershowitz on Saturday slammed what he called a judge's "very, very unfair" decision to jail former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Manafort appeared at the Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Downtown Washington on Friday where a judge accused him of witness tampering.

Dershowitz said on "Fox & Friends" that there is still a presumption of innocence in Manafort's case.

"Under the law, Manafort is no more guilty of contacting witnesses or attempting to obstruct justice than any of us," he said....

Dershowitz said there should have been an evidentiary hearing in which Manafort could present his defense before he was put in jail.

"Why does the government get to win without a hearing or without a trial?" he asked. "I think it's very, very unfair. He's not the only person in jail today for being indicted."​

And five of these agents had texted others about how Trump and his supporters were POS, stupid, lazy, etc, but that did not influence their investigation of Hillary at all, or of Trumps supposed collusion with Russia, but that did not influence them at all as they carried out due diligence?

The FBI DID Publicize that they were investigating Hillary's inconsequential email problems, making them all sound a lot more sinister than they were, even though three investigations now have admitted that they did not have enough evidence to make a case they could win in court. Didn't matter, they implied she did something sinister.

MEANWHILE, even though they had a bunch of concerns that people close to Trump were influenced by the Russians, they pretty much kept that a secret until after the election...

If the conduct of the Justice Department, the top level of the FBI and this so-called Mueller 'investigation' does not equate to Dimocrat suppression of their Republican opposition, then nothing Putin has ever done is oppressive either or any other tin-horn dictator.
