Anti-Submarine Corvette Milgem

Who Cares?

These ships will seek enemy submarines, send the data to our own sunmarines who will sink enemy submarines.
You need a specially designed ship for this role, and now we have it.
They're part of force-projection in case we go to war and need to sea-blockade the enemy country.

Doesn't matter if you care, I do.

Turkey is threatening Greece, Cyprus and Israel for drilling in their own seas which is legal by international law.

Now the Chinese, Russians, French, English and (of course) American companies are entering the business and international waters for the purpose of drilling in the Cyprian waters. So far Russia has an aircraft carrier, six warships and a sub to the region. The US is in the process of building bases in Cyprus.

Greece wins and Turkey loses imo. But hey, you can always sell those Corvettes to Pakistan and Bangladesh.

"real ASW platforms" like what? Oliver Hazard Perry? The Turks already have those, and are upgrading to this generation of ships.

What a random bunch of insults you threw out, at what is clearly a well thought out and capable wee corvette.

If it were American you would all doubtless be salivating over it. But of course, you have no new ships......

Oliver Hazard Perry were modernized in GENESIS program (post 11 in this thread).
They're now called G-Class Frigates and will be continued to be operated.
Under GENESIS modernization they now can launch ESSM missiles.
It's anti-air missile, which will be incorporated in US's flagship-project Zumwalt-Class destroyers.
It was developed by USA together with 10 NATO countries to shoot down Aircraft and incoming missiles, and is operational since 2004.
It makes no-fly zone in range of 45 KM around the ship.
