Four years ago (written in 2005), Perkins addressed the Louisiana chapter of the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC), America's premier white supremacist organization, the successor to the White Citizens Councils, which battled integration in the South.

In 1996 Perkins paid former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke $82,500 for his mailing list. At the time, Perkins was the campaign manager for a right-wing Republican candidate for the US Senate in Louisiana. The Federal Election Commission fined the campaign Perkins ran $3,000 for attempting to hide the money paid to Duke.

Before getting caught returning from a European vacation with a gay escort George Rekers apparently made a nice living as an expert on the evils of homosexuality.

In fact, back in 2008, Bill McCollum, Florida's attorney general who is now the leading Republican candidate for Governor, paid Rekers at least $60,000 in taxpayer funds to serve as an expert witness on homosexuality as McCollum was defending the state's law banning adoptions by gay couples.

Look, at first it was said it was his aid who set this up...then he said he found this guy on google and had no idea, then he said he didnt know this guy was gay until halfway through the trip, then he said he had a bad back and needed help carrying his bags, then he said he did it to teach the kids the error of his gay ways....
Makes sense to me.

I would love someone to come in here and defend this guy. There is nothing wrong with being gay...hell there is nothing wrong with being in the closet (although that would have to suck) but this guy lived to show being gay is wrong.
