Anthony Weiner strongly defends Israeli attack on flotilla

What has [President Obama] said about this whole thing? Haven't heard a peep.

corrected that for you.

and you're a liar.

what the president said is that we regret the loss of civilian life and trust that israel will conduct a fair and impartial investigation of the circumstances as they occurred.

at least tell the truth. :cuckoo:

At least you knew who Hawk was talking about.

Yea Obama wants an investigation before he gives an official statement, he does that to foreigners but with Americans he simply comments before knowing all the facts.

No, Obama's middle name is well known and often spelled incorrectly. But for some reason you don't like him being addressed in such a manner. At least Hawk had the courtesy of using the man's given name.

Did you defend Bush when he was called names other than his given middle name?

True right wing nuts are the Jihadists we are at war with, who want to impose Sharia law through an oppressive government.

We conservatives are right smack in the middle, between the Jihadists and the left wing socialists.

WOW! A Jew congressman from New York is defending Israel! SHOCKER!!!!

I know. It's so out of character. Next thing you know, Simcha Felder and Dov Hinkind are going to start defending Israel.

I like Weiner though. He's my congressman, I think he's doing a very good job.

I actually like him too.

And as far as the 5,000 year old war in the holy land goes, I really don't keep myself educated enough to have a solid opinion either way. I just don't know of any Jews overtly trying to kill me, so they get my support by default.

Working in politics in NY, and Brooklyn particularly, the Israel thing pops up quite a lot for me. My opinions on the issue are so complicated I could write a fucking book - but it all boils down to "I don't have an answer" in the end.

This is news? All American politicians support Israel. If they don't, Zionist PAC's ensure that their opponents receive generous campaign contributions before the next election day rolls around.

Not all.

The vast majority, sure. But there are always exceptions to the rule.

You're right about the PACs as well. But that of course is what PACs are for.

It seems like exceptions are quickly pushed to the margin and usually are never seen in office again after daring to criticize Israel. The PAC issue wouldn't be of much concern to me if there was a non-Zionist equivalent to the Zionist lobby. Israel has the market cornered and would never allow a pro-Palestine or even a pro-even handedness movement to gain ground in the US. Any group that called for those things would quickly be labeled a "terrorist organization."

Everytime Isreal hits the news, well, OL'BO isn't exactly falling all over them with love of any sort.

Hmmmm. Wonder if he'll get the Jewish vote in 2012??? Good question.
