He made this promise in 2016 and nothing happened. Don't you remember that? Didn't you feel cheated, or conned?Getting rid of Obamacare will surely get votes for Trump. It was never popular with anyone I knew. Sounds like Trump will make this a priority.
---Trump promises to replace Obamacare with his own healthcare 'alternative'---
Are you high? The quality of care is the worst in the world, but is the most expensive by far.
I realize that, but, it’s a bad move politically to throw people off of their healthcare. I think all of it is just campaign rhetoric, and I don’t think it will happen.Nobody was denied healthCARE. The real issue is whether govt. subsidized health INSURANCE is cheaper than emergency room visits and Medicaid.
Based on a lie ... Proven in the extreme. That Obamacare will driveIsn't this the same promise he made in 2016 and never came out with a plan? Why would anyone believe him now? MAGA cults excepted.
The word 'Obamacare' may be toxic but the actual policies of Obamacare are very popular, especially the ban on pre-existing conditions. There is no way Trump will be able to do any more now than in his previous term, most of Obamacare is still very popular.
High on Truth.Yer type needn't even try it.Are you high?
Today, a minimum of life costing 20% more than it did when Joe started his installation as Potentate for tens of millions of people and tens of millions more has put a sour taste in their mouths. Younger people are affected also with many now anti-Israel and according to doctrines over the decades, now Anti Semites. That in itself will be interesting in a few years. And it only costs $8T in new debt to do it.
When the UAW was striking earlier this year, Trump posted that if they vote for him, he would make them rich.6 promises Trump has made about health care

He not only had a plan, he acted on it.
Healthcare – The White House

Issued unprecedented reforms that dramatically lowered the price of prescription drugs
- Eliminated the Obamacare individual mandate—a financial relief to low- and middle-income households that made up nearly 80 percent of the families who paid the penalty for not wanting to purchase health insurance
- Increased choice for consumers by promoting competition in the individual health insurance market leading to lower premiums for three years in a row
- Under the Trump Administration, more than 90 percent of U.S. counties have multiple options on the individual insurance market to choose from
- Offered Association Health Plans, which allow employers to pool together and offer more affordable, quality health coverage to their employees at up to 30 percent lower cost
- Increased availability of short-term, limited-duration health plans, which can cost up to 60 percent less than traditional plans, giving Americans more flexibility to choose plans that suit their needs
- Expanded Health Reimbursement Arrangements, allowing millions of Americans to be able to shop for a plan of their choice on the individual market and then have their employer cover the cost
- Added 2,100 new Medicare Advantage plan options since 2017, a 76 percent increase
- Lowered drug prices for the first time in 51 years
- Launched an initiative to stop global freeloading in the drug market
- Finalized a rule to allow the importation of prescription drugs from Canada
- Finalized the Most Favored Nation Rule to ensure that pharmaceutical companies offer the same discounts to the United States as they do to other nations, resulting in an estimated $85 billion in savings over seven years—$30 billion in out-of-pocket costs alone
- Proposed a rule requiring federally funded health centers to pass drug company discounts on insulin and Epi-Pens directly to patients
- Ended the gag clauses that prevented pharmacists from informing patients about the best prices for the medications they need
The list goes on and on. I just don't want to violate any copyright laws. You can read them yourself.
It would be helpful to know what his alternative is first before getting rid of Obamacare. But, yes, Obamacare does suck.Getting rid of Obamacare will surely get votes for Trump. It was never popular with anyone I knew. Sounds like Trump will make this a priority.

I got A's in Civics and Government. This post is BS.For those of you who stayed awake in HS Civics...
The Affordable Care Act is, in its totality, unconstitutional. Congress has no power to get into the health insurance business. The Supreme Court did not shut it down because the Chief Justice is a pussy. If the Court had had its current makeup when the first challenge got to the USSC, it would have been declared totally unconstitutional.
HOWEVER, there are two things in ACA that the American people like: the prohibition against refusing clients due to expensive pre-existing conditions, and the elimination of lifetime coverage caps. This is why when "leading Republicans" (Senator Cruz) talks about the replacement for ACA, they always say that these two provisions will be retained in the Republican replacement act.
But there will never be a Republican replacement for the ACA. Republicans have too much respect for the Constitution. They will try a number of things, but it is simply not possible to replace ACA with anything that is not equally unconstitutional.
ACA would be a seriously reviled piece of legislation but for one fact: Most people don't have to pay for it directly. Their employers pay or subsidize the dramatically higher premiums, so Obama gets a pass. OTOH, many people have seriously subsidized insurance premiums and they LOVE Obamacare.
Bottom line: It would be political suicide to replace it. Don't listen to Trump or other Republican blather. It ain't happening. ACA is here to stay. [Did I just make a poem?]
Virtually none of the prescription drug stuff actually happened (Trump was all talk and no action on that issue), and the stuff around trying to promote junk insurance is nothing to be proud of.
The reality is that the only "plan" he ever got behind was the ill-conceived and extremely unpopular proposals Congressional Republicans pushed (and ultimately lost the Houe over):
President Trump and Republicans took a victory lap after the House's narrow 'Trumpcare' passage
President Donald Trump was joined at the White House by House GOP members Thursday afternoon after they passed legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare. Trump said the legislation, which still must be passed by the Senate, was a “great plan” that would end the “suffering” and “ravages” of the...www.nbcnews.comGOP health-care plan is reportedly the most unpopular bill in three decades
The Republican health-care bill has worse public approval than Obamacare or President Bill Clinton's 1990s health-care reform push.www.cnbc.com
Then Trump, realizing everyone hated that awful bill (and perhaps understanding its passage was going to lead to a midterm wipeout for the House GOP), turned on it.
Trump, in Zigzag, Calls House Republicans’ Health Bill ‘Mean’ (Published 2017)
After calling the House bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act a “great plan” last month, the president told Republican senators on Tuesday that it was too harsh.www.nytimes.com
All the stuff about a better plan or a real repeal-and-replace has always been a lie.
President Trump did bring the price of insulin down to a maximum $35 co-pay. But Biden froze Trump's executive order, then reinstated it as a political stunt.
