A huge asteroid, larger than any skyscraper ever built, is set to shoot past Earth in just 10 days as NASA warned the space rock is “potentially hazardous”. The 1.2km wide asteroid will fly by Earth on Sunday February 4, the same day that the US celebrates the NFL Super Bowl. The space agency has dubbed the massive rock 2002 AJ129 and it measures between 500m and 1.2km across, making the gigantic asteroid

Dam another one and when these things come flying by earth we also have pretty good sized quakes that take place. It has an affect on the magnetic fields bringing earthquakes along the way.

In past few days we had one passing by and we've also seen a few good sized quakes as well. Volcanoes have popped off as well.

Good grief, where DO you get this hilarious nonsense...?

I'm ready to go --- are You! In the last days there will be earthquakes in diverse places.
Luke 21:11
great shakings also in every place, and famines, and pestilences, there shall be; fearful things also, and great signs from heaven there shall be;

Sooner or later a big one is going to come our way and it won't miss us. And we may not know it's coming if it comes from the far side of the sun.
Best if we don't know.
Actually, if we spot it far enough out in time, no real problem to move it enough to miss us. However, that is not to say that we can convince the anti-science 'Conservatives' that it is real.

There is also the reality that an asteroid will break apart and cause multiple impacts if the help of GOD isn't beseeched... Remember the last time when science tried to build an unsinkable liner --- that didn't go so well!

No worries on this one but as each decade goes by, we are mathematically more due for another big impact. Instead of worrying about whether Trump had a fling with a Russian tramp, if our government were doing half their job, they would be focused heavily on:

A). Hardening our power grid against EMP attack.
B). Building an effective defense to destroy or steer away eventual asteroidal and cometary impactors.
