Today is the anniversary of the cessation of the Korean war, for a time anyway. Despite bluster from the Norks that the armistice is now over, the shooting has yet to start up again.

The damage done to Korea was remarkable. The armies fought through Seoul four times and comprehensively trashed it each time. Since the early 80's ROK Korea has been one of the "tiger" economies that has been growing by huge leaps every year. The Norkland has been dependent on aid and has suffered horribly from mismanagement and autarky.
