An India-based nongovernmental organization conducted a study which indicates 200 women are killed in India every year for being accused of witchcraft, The Times of India reported Sunday.

Honor killings, honor killings, honor killings...the Turkish pastime, alongside killing Christians and Kurds.

Honour killings happen in whole world. In western world it is called "Family drama".
Witch killing has nothing to do with "family related"-crime. But is a total different level in "quality of adsurdity".

Honor killings have very serious punishments in Turkey. Most honor killings happen in South-East Turkey. Because the increased/tightened punishments, honor killings have shifted into "honor suicides". For example a girl is sent into room with a rope.

The South-East of Turkey is about 10-15 years behind the development of the other regions in Turkey. But, we invest there socio-economically. Soon, also the South-East will be assimilated in contemporary life. It's just a matter of time.
