Ann Romney defended her husband's closed-door comment that 47 percent of Americans are incurably dependent on government and see themselves as "victims" in an interview with Colorado station FOX31.

"It's unfortunate when something gets misinterpreted like this or it gets taken out of context because if you really do listen to everything that he does say, he's talking about what we're facing in America right now," Romney said in the interview.

Romney added that "if you listen to the whole context of what Mitt talks about, he is talking about what's happening right now in America and how more and more people are falling into poverty, more, in particular, women are falling into poverty."

No doubt about that, but the media needs something to report on or they use viewers and advertisers, so they will make hay out of anything and everything. Then we get Barach Obama saying he wants redistribution, well hell that's old news. He is a socialist. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

The result? In 2011, GM paid nothing in federal income taxes despite claiming record profits of $7.6 billion, the “highest profits in the 100 year history of that company” according to President Obama.

In fact, that’s not quite right. GM paid a tax rate of negative 1.5% on its record profits – less than nothing.

That’s right, while you were paying your income taxes last month, the IRS was sending General Motors a check for $110 million. And GM’s tax break is a gift that will keep on giving every year at tax time.

It’s good for twenty years.

As with the original $50-plus billion bailout of General Motors – and the $7,500 Chevy Volt tax credit that goes to people with an average income of $170,000 a year – this multi-billion dollar tax gift comes at the expense of ordinary taxpayers who lack GM’s close connections to the White House.

During the depths of the financial crisis, the U.S. government spent some $85 billion to rescue Chrysler, GM, and a few of their suppliers, in order to prevent the two large automakers from imploding. According to the latest U.S. Treasury report, taxpayers will now lose $25.1 billion on those auto bailouts. That’s $3.3 billion more than previously estimated. And it’s not even the final price. A war is emerging between Congress and the White House over high-profile stimulus programs that lawmakers claim aren't serving the American people.

Senate Democrats lashed out at the Obama administration on Wednesday, saying its stimulus wind energy program creates jobs overseas instead of in the U.S., and they're calling for the administration to put a stop to it.

Mitt Romney donated all of his fathers inheritance. He and Ann married young--lived in a basement apartment--and used a pull down ironing table for a kitchen table. Romney did not start Bain Capital until he was 37. He then was called into the 2002 Utah Winter Olympic games in which he and Ann donated 1 million too--Mitt worked as CEO of the games for 3 years--made 1.4 million which he then donated all of that to charity.
