The suspected shooter, Ernesto Castellanos Martinez, is reported to be the ex-boyfriend of the woman Mazin had recently started dating. Martinez, investigators say, is also a twice-deported illegal immigrant who has since fled to Mexico.

For fools like you, the parents of children who are killed by immigrants endure more suffering than the parents of the children who died at Sandy Hook, or Parkland, because Trump isn't going on TV talking about all they endured because angry white men with guns can shoot them in their schools.

Why are the only angel parents who matter to Donald Trump, are the parents of those killed by immigrants. Of all of the "angel parents", there are more angel parents from the victims of mass shooters than there are from illegal immigrants. Why don't you care about the angel parents of those killed by the opioid epdiemic, or school shootings, or American gang violence?

Why don't all of the angel parents matter?

Because america was founded upon violence; it is as american as apple pie, baseball, ethnic cleansing/removal and whatever else is necessary for the eurocentric colonization of peoples to continue in the pursuit of wealth extraction, concentration and redistribution.

This argument seeks to exploit one category of "angel parent" and make their loss seem easily preventable, if only we would build a wall. It makes it appear that these are the ONLY parents whose losses could have been prevented, if only the government had acted. But there are preventable losses through background checks, and restricting sales of certain classes of weapons, things that don't impede the safe and responsible ownership of guns, but prevent mass killing tools from falling into the hands of spousal abusers, and those with violent tendencies.

No other country in the first world has these tremdendous losses of life in public spaces through mass shootings, especially at schools, and yet has done NOTHING substantive in terms of restricting gun ownership as a result. You also have the worst history in the first world of proper nutrition to school children. No other first world country has school aged children wondering how they will eat during school holiday breaks. Your public education system is the worst performing of all G8 nations, and your teachers among the worst paid, as a percentage of GDP.

There is no maternity leave for pregnant women. No family leave for parents of sick children. My impression is that Americans really don't care about their children, except when they're in utero

Witness the depravity of american values in all their splendor. Pay heed not to the lofty creation myth rhetoric, but rather to the history of our exploitation of human beings we were societally able to fashion as "the other". Our descendants are discarded as frivolously we we discard our elders once their revenue generational prime has passed, they are but tools as well to the power structure.
