An honest question to liberals/Democrats

So why did you make up an idiot story that the liberals wanted to emulate Greece?

Try asking an honest question, and you won't get the abuse you so richly deserved for the crap you tried to pull.

All of those countries mentioned have similar economic policies, and they are all headed in the same direction. You can scream foul if you want, but those same policies are the exact same ones that liberals/Democrats are trying to institute in the U.S. If you consider that an insult, then that says more about your economic position than anything else and your refusal to put it against reality than anything else.

Anyway, my question still stands.

You are a moron, Greece and these other countries are NOTHING like America.

Greece suffered from rich people evading taxes, one example was about 98% of the people that owned pools where supposed to pay taxes on them, they were lying on their tax forms to get out of paying and then covering them so they couldn't get busted for it.

Aside from that one example most of these countries have a VAT tax, which you will never see in this country.. You may hear the idea floated around every now and then, but even most (if not all) Dems do not support the idea.

The premise for your OP question is based on incorrect information. Turn off talk radio AM and turn off FoxNews.

Greece is also a place where they promised never-ending government jobs and social programs. Even if all those taxes were paid, they still would have a problem.

Liberals fall into 3 groups....evil, stupid or insane. Some have a mix of those categories but most fall into one group.

The idiots believe their leaders that lie to them about stealing money from this person actually helps everyone out in the end.

The evil ones are the leaders that are doing the stealing of money, etc.

The insane ones are found on the internet, media, etc spewing their insanity like many liberals here. They live in another realm of reality without a clue....they believe Romney killed a woman with cancer and Bush flooded black projects in New Orleans.

The evil liberals rely on the idiot and insane liberals to show up on election days, but otherwise they want them to shut the fuck up and get out of their way like good little lemmings.

The idiots believe their leaders that lie to them about stealing money from themselves, the poor and middle class and giving it to the rich actually helps everyone out in the end.

The evil right winger puppet masters rely on the idiot and insane right wing sheep to show up on election days, but otherwise they want them to shut the fuck up and get out of their way like good little lemmings.

Now you've got it right :clap2:

The election was a choice between 2 candidates.

Romney's economic plan was to

1. cut taxes by 20% with no accounting for the impact of that revenue loss on the deficit/debt

2. drastically increase military spending with no accounting for how it would be paid for

3. not touch Medicare for ten years (yes he did promise that) while repealing the Affordable Healthcare Act that had extended Medicare's solvency to 2024 from 2016.

4. Somehow reduce the deficit/balance the budget by making enormous cuts in domestic spending - a political impossibility, a fantasy.

...why would any person with any amount of fiscal responsibility vote for that?
Doubling the national debt is fiscally responsible?

This is the part where you mindlessly repeat your "It's Bush's fault!!" tropism.

Bush doubled the national debt, Reagan tripled it

republican fiscal responsibility
And Obama has spent as much as every other President combined.

Democrats lecturing on fiscal responsibility is ludicrous.

Do you honestly believe that your party's economic and fiscal path is remotely sustainable? If you do, then how do you figure? I would like real world examples.

If we look at countries such as Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, the U.K, Argentina and Venezuela-- all of which we seem to be trying to emulate-- they are all facing an economic disaster greater than what the U.S. is currently facing, yet you seemingly figure that it will be "different" in the case of the U.S.

It's said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Anyway, enlighten me.

An honest question to liberals/Democrats

Why do stupud RWers frequently interchange the word "honest" with STUPUD?

Fair question...
"Stupud"?

Actually, the US isn't emulating any of those countries.

Take Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and France - all members of the EU, and all attempting to institute "austerity" budgets. They're cutting spending and raising taxes. The result is shrinking economies, widening deficits, and increasing unemployment.

Now look at the US: here we've chosen not to raise taxes or cut spending and our economy has grown as a result, and unemployment has steadily fallen.

So if we followed the example of the EU countries - a path that's already been proven not to lead nowhere - that would be ridiculous. But that's not what we're doing.
Answer this question:

WHY have the EU nations been forced into austerity measures?

I'm afraid he hasn't. But FoxNation believes it is true

Answer this question:

Because they don't have control of their own currency.

Nope.

I'll give you a hint:

"Unsustainable entitlement spending".

Is he not on line to double the debt again? Go ahead spin away.........

Lets look at the numbers...

Debt is $16 trillion of which $5 trillion occurred in Obamas Presidency
Why do Conservatives lie and say he has spent more than EVERY President combined?

More important, How much has Obamas programs added to out debt? Stimulus $800 billion, Obamacare $800 billion

Where did the rest come from?
$2 trillion to wrap up Bush's wars
$1 trillion unfunded Medicare Part D
$2 trillion lost through Bush tax cuts

It's not an "honest" question.

When you have one..let's us know.

Answer this question:

There was a big build-up of debts in Spain and Italy before 2008, but it had nothing to do with governments. Instead it was the private sector - companies and mortgage borrowers - who were taking out loans. Interest rates had fallen to unprecedented lows in southern European countries when they joined the euro. And that encouraged a debt-fuelled boom.

Yes.

When I first went in the 90s, I was in Greece for over two weeks. There were four strikes. Three of the strikes were for one day. Back then, at the post office when you dropped your mail in the slot, the letters fell into a basket. There was a job classification for guys who carried the baskets to the sorting tables. The basket carriers went on strike and shut down the whole post office.

There were, and still are, too many working people taking checks from the government.

Why do you CONS think you can slip this "I'm so superior shit" by us. Lurk a little while longer before posting, noob. We already have enough clueless assholes around here.
